I believe it is more a matter of his high standard. Casting is not that hard, but if you want it to be perfect you have to find a way to eliminate any kind of flaws. Check Sideshow and Hot Toys, even they have issues with casting from time to time (anybody remeber that new BR Joker head?).

No - It's not the caster - he's a pro - it's the cowl and the cutout for the mouth... All is going great now!

I do have high standards but this has been difficult because of the smooth surface. No place to hide flaws.

Can't wait to see the results. Did they turn out?

I will have to "barrow" my wife's iphone and take some decent shots!

How did the recast go?

Casts are GREAT! Picked up 13 in just 5 biz days! the seam is straight and there is no shifting like before so no worries of loosing details from sanding them down.

Unpainted casts start shipping in two weeks while the others are off to be painted.

I'll do my best to get some pics up today.
