Also how does this look to everyone? A standard TT ankle insert is 9mm across (correct me if I'm wrong). I have a hole drilled just under 9.5mm which should allow just enough wiggle room to fit in there snugly. Is this what everyone was thinking? That way you just pop the ankle insert out of the foot, stick it in the shoe, and then put the foot pegs in there.

I usually like having the ankle insert fit into the shoe. The ankle insert is a softer plastic and it's easier to take
the peg out of the insert in case you need to use taller pegs for adjustment fit with pants.

I guess I am a little confused... By drilling the hole the way I did it will allow you to do exactly that. Did I describe it poorly or were you just agreeing with what I did?

An ankle insert is about 9mm across so I drilled a hole in the shoe so you can just stick the ankle insert in there like you said.

Awesome, looks like this is what we'll be doing. I can now have all the shoes cast! And in case anyone is nit picky, NO, the shoe in the images is not a final cast, there are HUGE bubbles and flaws in it. That was just a test cast.

That's the idea...glad it comes through in the paint job[emoji41]

And as I said before that is just a test cast shoe. Anticipating the final casts will be even a bit cleaner (but still with a dirty paint job[emoji1] ).
