Ok guys,so this honestly has been taking forever to get going, so i asked my good buddy Amnur if he could commission me a set of heads. He said if we got 5 or more interested,he'd love to do it. He recently just finished a Nathan Drake head sculpt and shoes and trust me,the pics do not do this piece justice, link can be found here: https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95853&page=32
Let me kno whos intrested so we can get something going sooner rather then later!
I also mentioned it to the Boards very own Ski. After seeing the work on his Wolverine and owning his first addition Nomak and patiently waiting on his amazing Nemesis I completely believe he could pull off the boys. Whether or not he would be available for such a project, thats another story.
Regarding Warrior's Gate, I have still not heard anything regarding this project.
Ok here is the latest email from Rick over at WGP.
Hi amigo. We'd definitely LOVE to do them. We would be having Chu make them, our Indy and Kirk artist. It would be $55 a character once completed (+$5 shipping, for both combined). We have a pretty big workload right now so we wouldn't be able to actually start until Late Feb or March. Let me know if that's okay and I will officially add them into our schedule.
Thanks, Dan
-Rick
I'm thinking this would be a good way to go. PM me if your truely interested and we'll go a head and slate it.
Hello fellas, I wanted to thank Dan for giving me an opportunity to do this but unfortunately my schedule is pretty hectic currently and ongoing into 2012, hopefully you guys get someone quick and does a great job. I can't wait til see how the project goes!!!
Yeah I don't know. Amnurs stuff looks good as a sculpt but I haven't seen much of it painted up. With WGP and the artist Rick said would be doing them, I think it would probably be worth the wait and extra cost. I can't remember the name of the rendering program they're using but by the work they're doing on the Winchester boys, well it looks like they are able to tweek the sculpt easier and ultimately provide a better reproduction.
@ Everyone
So what does everyone else think regarding this?
Lets offer both then,my guy starts in jan and should be done around the beg. of feb, when your guy starts his. Ppl can decide which one they wanna go with or hell, mabes even get both. A Saints fan can never have enough Boondock saint right? I think that would work out for everyone ya kno?
Only thing is, at WGP they want to have a certain number of folks interested before they go into production. I, personally would'n't have a problem with it but I'm not sure everyone else would want to be on th hook for two sets.
Well, I couldn't get the minimum for WGP. However I am continuing my on sculpting effort on the boys. Bare in mind this is my first 1/6 sculpting endevour and I want the likeness to be on. I'm not entirely sure how long this will take...lol.
If everyone would be on board for Amnurs to do it I would be as well. JD18_92 mentioned he was interested in doing it. So maybe we could get him on board for something more timely. I say this because my sculpts started a year ago and I'm still tinkering. However I can post in progress picks if folks want to take a look at them.
I talked with Skiman a bit about the casting process and he has always been extremely helpful.
