Re: Breaking Bits - GAS MASKS and HEISENBERG glasses

Guys...a little over a month is still a VERY short amount if time to wait for a custom piece. These weren't made already and ready to ship. It'd would be cool to get an update but I wouldn't think we would start seeing anything shipped out for orders under ~90 days or so.

I understand being nervous about the PayPal dispute period but I would t honestly think it would ship out before that expired unless they were ready to ship at the time I placed my order.

Re: Breaking Bits - GAS MASKS and HEISENBERG glasses

Hi Lee in MI. I understand your point of view, but before I sent off my payment, I was told my order will be ready to ship in 2 weeks time, and what bother me the most is that he doesn't response, so I have no idea what to expect.

Re: Breaking Bits - GAS MASKS and HEISENBERG glasses

You guys are safe with Jeff. Hes already explained in this thread the reason for the slight delay, but hes a stand up, talented dude who will come through for all of us. For anyone complaining here about waits on custom projects, better get used to it, as most folks here have lives that take priority over hobbies, but almost always come through for you in the end.

Re: Breaking Bits - GAS MASKS and HEISENBERG glasses

I hear you pclee but most customs are gonna take time and any timeframe given should be taken as a best case scenario.

Hell, we can't get our Hot Toys in 6 months and it's their job to mass produce those! This guy is coming home from work everyday and deciding to get back to work on his hobby. I'd bet dollars to donuts that there's more days that go by with no work on these projects than days that he does work on them. I can only imagine how hard it is to get to work on these after a full day of work.

:lecture:exactly::goodpost: I can vouch for Jeff as well! These little parts are not easy... He's always came through

Re: Breaking Bits - GAS MASKS and HEISENBERG glasses

HEY GANG!

Let me first apologize for my absence on the board and lack of communication. I've been very busy, traveling for work mostly. I had to leave town unexpectedly for some meetings, had to replace a broken washing machine, blah, blah, life stuff. It ends up just reading as excuses, but rest assured I have not forgotten about this project and you all waiting patiently for the stuff. I'm sincerely sorry to have kept you playing the waiting game, I know how frustrating that can be. I'm sorry if the delay has caused stress or worry. But let me assure you that I will ALWAYS come through for my customers and would never rip any of you off. I got burned myself when Blindvoyeur took off with my money for Deckard clothing and it really sucks. Big thanks to all of you guys who spoke up and vouched for me, I very much appreciate that.

I am guilty however of overestimating how quickly I could get these made & shipped. Anyone who has done a big order like these knows making 25 is much different than making 1. Quick run down of some the issues with fabricating these... took a week for base supplies to arrive, made 2 molds of the respirators one of which went bad right away and I only had 1 mold to knock out 50 castings, that eventually failed and the silicone I had left was unusable so I had to order more of that. I decided to add a rear strap linking the 2 elastic straps to make it more accurate, which wasn't on the proto. I had to find the elastic and stitch that into place. I didn't like the original filter warning stickers I made so replaced them with decals. And getting 25 small boxes to mail these was not even something I originally thought about --> all more time.

Anyway, here are finished pics. I will reply to all PMs and update the list on page 1 with shipped orders tomorrow. Thank you all again for bearing with me. Hopefully when they arrive, you'll go from :gah: to :yess:

Re: Breaking Bits - GAS MASKS and HEISENBERG glasses

The mask looks amazing! it will be worth the wait for you all when you get them in hand!

I had the same mask as Entropy and Entropy was kind enough to cast me up some filters. I painted them and put decals on them and my Walt was finally finished. THANKS again man!

What glasses were those everyone was using? I'm trying to play catch up and the lack of a Walt thread now is making it really hard :lol
