That's a nice choice, loved that movie, but I thought people was pushing rainman to do it ?

Myself and a few others have been banging on about it on his wish list thread for a while, but never seen any indication that the man himself has any interest in it.

Lol. I was wondering what you meant. I did like the film and have 2 Jacks in my collection, I just wanted variety of actors in my collection but this is just my own thing. Even tho I'm not interested I will probably pick one up.

I think this is our project, not just mine, you guys are the most important part of this, you support it, I make it, and I feel it's necessary to show progress to the supporters.

Quick W.I.P pic of the custom base for the meat. This is what me and my dad came up with, so we took a little bit of liberties. This is intended to replicate a "homemade" sandbag pole style for boxing and kung fu or whatever. The metal barrel/drum is not in scale, making it 1/6 scale would be impractical right now, so it's a mini diorama of sorts .

This is a WIP because we have to make a groove on the end of the pole to avoid the chain sliding out with the meat.

I went this route because it was kind of impossible to replicate any place from the meat fridge scene, so maybe Rocky took the meat home for punching purposes ? hehe. Hope you guys like it.

Good idea Johnny. I was actually thinking of putting a suction cup thingy and hang it in my glass case. Is that your new studio? I it's so clean lol.

just wondering guys, the meat stand currently at 40cm, the detolf is approximately 37cm? Just wondering how many people would like it to be dropped a few cm so it can fit in a detolf? Also, can someone get the exact measurement for tha detolf shelf? my estimate is well...an estimate :lol

Yeah, I exchanged of messages with Chubbyman. The stand is 40cm tall, I didn't factor in the height of a detolf, and it's quite difficult to cater to everyone as maybe you have different detolfs. If a detolf is really 37cm tall, we can drop it to 36cm.

At this 40cm height the meat is facing Rocky the same height it does is the freezer scene, if we drop it well, it wouldn't. Would that be an issue with everyone ?. If not then I'll drop it down.

You know what guys ? Nevermind my post above, I'll drop it down to avoid any problems with the spacing. If you would like it higher then you can stuck something inside the hole to make it higher. The pole is removeable, it's not glued in place.

I would rather see the meat hung higher. It's just more accurate to where the punch would go.
If it's too low it would look like he would have to punch downwards or else punch the top of the meat.
That would look odd.

I understand the concern of wanting it to fit within a certain display case, but myself, I would prefer it to be the correct height also. Just like in the movie.

I suppose I would rather it be slightly inaccurate, knowing that there is always scope to raise it higher if preferred, than have it stuck at a height that might see some unable to display it together, side by side, with the actual figure. It is an accompanying accessory to the main piece after all. Being unable to squeeze both into a detolf could obviously lead to dissapointment for some people at that display option being taken off the board.
