I forgot about his other dog Punchy. Punchy had more screen time training with Rocky.

Punchy was much later though. Wasn't he the dog wrinkly Rocky got in the final film?

Poor Butkus just kind of vanished after the second one. I heard he refused to return for Rocky III after hearing a rumour that he was going to be killed off by Mr T (reversing over him in his van or something), thereby providing Rocky with a reason to seek revenge. When Butkus bailed, they decided to finish off Mick instead. Which, in hindsight, maybe works a little better. True story.....maybe.

Your right I forgot what film punchy appeared in. I don't think Johnny is going for the old wrinkly Rocky. Lol. I did not know that was the reason we did not see Butkus. I figured he died in real life or they just decided to take him out of the picture.

Thanks man, I've been fixing the sculpt to make the beanie cap look natural on it, like it's really "hugging" the sculpt and not just sitting on top of the resin.
