I think there was a general air of dissapointment (or at least of being underwhelmed) when the figure went up for pre-order and the first round of pics were revealed. A few grumbles about the price also, so I should imagine this will be available for a while yet.

As a massive Max fan, I'm just crossing my fingers that the pictures failed to do the figure justice and I'm pleasantly surprised when I flip open that black box.

Yeah me too, something magical about opening those black boxes

I was on the fence about it early on and didn't pull the trigger, but I was thinking recently that I might regret passing on a full figure of Max. I love the character and Road Warrior is my favorite iteration of Max (as played by Mel), so even a Max that's 90% there may be worth it. I think the price is fair if it includes the battle-damaged head or the dog that was mentioned earlier in the thread, but it's not clear to me what's going on with those extras---like, will there be a forthcoming DX fullset option?

Is there an actual picture of the battle damaged sculpt and dog?
Really want this but for the price the head sculpt we've seen seems a bit off.
Any word on any fixes ?
It seems a bunch of people on here feel the same way
Would love some feedback from the artists to push me over that hump to order this

The head isn't 100% but it's still a cool looking figure..
But man, somebody needs to do something about that visible elbow joint.. that just ruins everything...

they showed us just proto pictures, and they said that body will be changed . ;)

Not really bothered about the body they use, as long as the sculpt is good. :exactly:
That's what I'm paying for in high end figures.

Well, I normally swap out the body in most cases but, y'know, it would be nice not to have to! (and did you just express agreement with yourself? :lol I really must start doing that from now on) :goodpost:

Nah, that just feels weird...

The full figure will have a muscle body, different from the one in the promo pics. But I'm assuming it will also have elbow joints. And frankly, I prefer something like that to figures with fully rubber arms using an armature. You've got durability issues to concern yourself with both internally and externally in those situations. Plus, the appendages rarely look natural when bent using that approach anyway. You've got a bit more control over that when you have exposed joints on a muscle body a la the TTM-19.
