At first glance I wasn't wowed by the De Niro sculpt either, but the more I studied the pics the more I saw that it was a very solid likeness. I was assuming that they weren't the best pics and not the best lighting conditions, and the new round of pics in natural light confirmed that.

These are a much better example of what were getting. There are a bunch more in the dropbox link in the email, I just pulled a few to post here

Where can these be ordered?

Shoot me a PM with your email address and I'll FWD you the original email with all of the ordering links

Anyone else who didn't or normally doesn't get the email(s), let me know and I'll get you set up.

So I pre-ordered and paid for this within 15 minutes of the e-mail, but I do wonder if the secret item is going to be Hanna's vest or Neil's bag of cash. I don't mind if the item is neither, but I'd like to know whether or not I need to hunt down the above items before the figures ship.

Ordered the set :10 seconds after receiving the e-mail. Awesome set!

Yes yes yes brothers!! :hi5: We've (and others) been supporting this idea in the Wishlist Thread for a long while. They're finally here :yess:

That is indeed the best picture of De Niro but don't you think his eyes are little too small?

IDK, for me the eyes are fine. I think the sculpt is fantastic; it's not perfect and I do have a couple of minor niggles but the eyes to me aren't one of them.

I can't see pics, Pop!Is there no shades Niro in good light?

Maybe reboot your device/computer. I saw you said you can't see Mao's pics either, and they're showing up for me fine.

Can you see the pics in the dropbox link in the email?

My issue with the sculpt is the mouth area, but I think it is still an excellent sculpt.

Don't get me wrong, De Niro's head is beautifully sculpted and painted but mouth part has a slight issue as well as other areas that I can't exactly pinpoint..

I mean, I'm a huge fan of De Niro and have watched "Heat" like 20 times so I would personally know when I see a sculpt of De Niro if it has a good likeness or not..

So far, Andy Bergholtz's version of Heat De Niro has the best likeness so far..

I believe CultKing's De Niro's sculpt was made by MJ if I'm not mistaken and now I kind of understand why only a side view picture of De Niro sculpt was available back then.

Yea, the Bergholtz sculpt has a good likeness. It's a little soft on detail, but the likeness is bang on.

My main qualm with the CK Neil sculpt is the hair. I think a little taller (like 1-2 mm) would have been a little closer to the mark and helped elongate the shape of the sculpt, which may have added to likeness. That and some grey highlighting are all I can really say I'd like to see.

With Hanna, his eyes look almost green, which is taking hazel a little too far. I think that making the eyes a touch more brown would make an already strong likeness, stronger

I think it's the mouth part - it has the De Niro features but it's a bit too squashed / compressed.

Pacino looks good though. On par with the kojun ones. I think the paint isn't as good as the usual iminime painters that did the Bride. I like that painter's style and choice of color.

That aside, I think the neck need some adjustments, they look too exposed in some pics and the tailoring isn't as good as Tyler Durden ones.

Agreed on all points. Thats the thing about Vincent sculpt i caught as well. I noticed the same thing about the eye color. If they would paint it a darker brown it would be perfect! Its already amazing but that would make it so much better.

Does anyone think it might just be a case of the beard making the face look squat by virtue of being too perfectly rounded? Not that I spend my movie time checking out man fuzz, but in the film the beard seems a bit more angular and there's a sharper downturn where it joins the 'stash.

Err...amount of nasal hair seems sufficient though

yea i would've liked to get both (I'm still debating because I'm the most indecisive mofo around!!! :dunno) but i don't think the deniro sculpt is as good as the pacino sculpt- Pacino is done so well but deniro is off imo- still amazing work from the makers:clap

This is totally two different people.

seems like the bags under his eyes are a bit too pronounced, his mouth and/or stache a little too wide- idk, still a great interpretation but… (i hate critiquing) in some angles of the photos that were shared it looks on point and in some he looks odd

Face, especially mouth area (facial hair), appear too wide. DeNiro has a longer, thinner face..
