[CULT KING]- Career Crook & The Lieutenant - **PRE-OREDER OPEN**

Yes - the sculpt looks quiet off. I always thought that someone will nail deniro accurately and I always trusted mw to do so. Now am all torn apart :(

Forehead has too much wrinkle definition
Face is a bit flattish and square rather than elongated
And the likeness is definitely not al Pacino level (that al Pacino sculpt is rock star!)
Also somehow I am really not digging iminime suits. Al Pacino suite is quite Good but deniro hard lining is making it look quite off! In all the scenes you can barely see the lining on his suite - it's there but not at all prominent and this one is very bright :(

Hmm - I so wanna buy both :( but ....

Actually I think both are off. I'm a huge fan of both actors and I like the movie, don't love it. But the thought never crossed my mind to spring for these personally. Worthy characters, worthy efforts... Portraits leave just a bit to be desired I think.

Mike - I don't know how much You were involved cause usually you have that eye for detail. If not may be "tha man" shld have involved you - I think such iconic figures they could have done the vest etc and made them a remarkable release... The robbery face off was an epic scene and while most elements are on the figure key elements like the vest are missing and also suite accuracy and dinero sculpt is holding me back

Probably it will just be al Pacino for me . Sigh!

I'm not invested with or employed by the company so my involvement is pretty limited. I'm here has a friend and a fan. All I do is provide a reference package of screencaps, details, info and suggestions. He's the man, so what he chooses to do with it is up to him.

As for Neil's robbery gear, I've already mentioned this to him a couple of times but haven't gotten a reply yet. I understand that the budget is tight and he wouldn't be able to include all of those extras for the current retail price, but I asked if he could consider doing it as an add-on accessory pack. I suggested the robber mask, the vest with ammo and the black duffel. I agree 100% that those bits are essential for the character's look for the scene the figs are based on. That, and like you said, it would make an already good figure really great. He feels incomplete as he stands and this character is supposed to be more than just a guy in a suit. While there could be a little room for improvement with the head sculpt, I'm not as concerned with that as I am his extra accessories. I'd imagine that mostly anyone who is going for Neil would definitely stretch for the extras and maybe in some cases, it could be a deciding factor for people who are on the fence.

On the upside, there are a lot of positives here that I'm really impressed with. I've mentioned several times to Mr. X that Google Images is not a good tool to solely rely on when sourcing reference for a project, and much deeper research is necessary to find the most screen accurate reference. I've suggested this release several times, but I had no idea that these were in development and I had no involvement with reference. These finished protos popped up out of nowhere and I'm so impressed with the attention to detail and research that went into this. The really dug into the film itself and got all the details accurately.

All of the weapons are accurate and none are easily sourced on the market (there are "close", but not exact). Aside from the robbery gear (Neil's stuff and Hanna's vest), the didn't leave anything out. They got both of their watches, Hanna's bracelet & ring and even both of their shoes right. It's stuff like that makes customs custom, and sets them apart from what's easily bashable.

Neil's Robbery Gear has to be an add on option or an accessory pack. This is whats stopping me from ordering set. As others have said, Neil's Sculpt needs a little tweaking. With shades on looks awesome. With shades off, I dont know.:dunno I would display Neil with shades on.The Lieutenant looks Awesome!:clap

I agree with you on all counts. Hence i felt if he had consulted a bit with you - this otherwise good release could be stellar. The robbery gear and few things here and there are surely needed to make this a complete set. Even if it costs a bit more. But sometimes these 480-500 ones (if incomplete) start making me act like a miser and nit picker.

Hope he listens to you this time! The vest on Pacino is a must too! Those 11 min in the movie were remarkable!

Below is what is needed :(

:confused: So you want these guys, plus Mike and Chris... or nothing?

I'm pretty sure for most people these two round off all that's needed from this movie in figure form. I'd personally like Chris too, but I'm sure he would be the figure with the least popularity of the 3.

Mike - at this rate....I would say for me "yes"....either all or nothing....and that's really more of stance based on their prior work with other characters...at least mike and Chris to round up the shoot out scene...I get it...two main roles....but they're light on accessories and some features are off...but I digress...i'll just skip these...my wallet needs this to happen anyways...:)

I just really didn't understand the statement especially because you've posted that a certain release would be your last so often. "All or nothing" and "my wallet needs a break" really doesn't fit in the same sentence :lol. Just saying that they deserve more credit than you're giving them. I'm pretty sure that not continuing OZ and KB had more to do with soft sales than anything else. Denny was excited for the challenge of taking on the other OZ characters. I'm sure if Dorothy preformed like BrBa or Braveheart, he would have.

I'm disappointed that more characters didn't come from OZ solely as a spectator because I didn't buy Dorthy. I'm disappointed that they didn't continue KB because I went for both releases and would have bought most anything else from the line. Many of us are disappointed, but it's not something to hold against them. There was more to it then "that's their M.O."

They did a great job with these Heat figs. Sure, some additions and alterations could bring them even further, but I think this is a pretty solid reveal

Is any possibility Deniro sculp will be changed?Denny did such kind of things with Goodfellas set.

I'd say anyone can speak up and state their opinions respectfully. This company has always been good at listening to what's on the crowd's mind's. Just because the majority may all agree on something doesn't necessarily mean that changes will definitely be made though. But I'm sure Mr. X would like to hear what everyone thinks as long as it's all put politely. From there he can decide if the changes or additions that people would like to see are able to be done or not.

I guess my statement should be taken from the POV that I have always supported Denny and his company on most of his releases (almost felt obligated since I wanted him to succeed) hence why I can take a breather from this release because I don't feel like I have to support them anymore....I have always loved his customs and his willingness to make changes, originally this is what drew me in deeper to Iminime....it just seems that lately he hasn't wanted to do that paired with what character HE decides to release (as you and I have spoken before...they base a lot of their releases on what trends over here) and I feel that the team would have been a better representation of the overall feel that was "Heat"...

yes they did not continue OZ and KB...but that's because I think they went about it the wrong way....atleast with Dorothy...give a second character a chance...and see what happens with another character...and then make the decision...

as for KB....did we need really need O-ren?....why not Bill...or Elle...or was this a case of one weak character paired with the strongest character and hopefully it carries the sells through....obviously this didn't happen...might as well put vernita with The bride...lol...anyways....

I was burnt out with the last couple of custom deals and that's why I sorta quit custom 800+ figures all together...although i'm not fully removed from the custom scene....I am racking up on the custom clothing and headsculpts....makes me appreciate the custom more when I have to paint it up and put it together...no middle men...

I hope this sheds some light into why I stated what I stated before....my position was not from a "that's their MO"...nothing against Denny's presentation and definitely not taking anything away from them but as I stated before....i'm just not going to keep giving my money when there are "things" that bother me about it....one of those things being completeness...

I agree. I think people should ask Mr. X if it's possible to tweak certain areas of De Niro head or state other concerns in a respectful manner. Personally, I would like to see some changes on De Niro head sculpt if it's possible at all since I think there was a minor issue with the sculpt itself because I think paint job is excellent on both De Niro and Pacino.
