I've wanted an armored Thulsa Doom for as long as I can remember... but man would it be an epic amount of work :lol

now that would be a figure i wouldn't mind having a removable helmet for. but then we would need a sculpt of JEJ......:gah:
maybe best to leave him helmeted too..........

although if we could get a a JEJ sculpt it would be hilarious to put it on the new vader coming out..........:lol

Wow, some excitement here.... I have plans for thulsa and his thugs..., need pics guys, but my next big project is going to be as already guessed Tigris the gladiator from gladiator, just fell in love with that design, but please build that conan pic library

i know right?..............probably a 6 or 7 second shot on screen but damn what an epic looking impression it made.

as far as the body..........not real sure but JEJ was rather heavy in that movie.

and i always thought the HT dutch head would make a good sculpt for conan as it looks to be the youngest looking arnie sculpt of or around his conan days.
now a king conan would have several options as it represents him as older plus he has a beard. perhaps a modded T2??

The T1 head is probably a good base for Conan, Arnie was around the same age

yeah that's true too.
these days we have several more options out there as opposed to just a few years ago about the only choice we had was the ssc t2 sculpt or a few that were commissioned.

I'm in the same boat as Barryo... not a huge Gladiator nut; but f'n major Conan fan and would be down for pretty much any of them.

Thulsa Doom would be my #1 as he just needs to be made. Anything after that would be gravy... but Rexor, Thorgrim and a Final Battle Conan would be epic.

I think just about any body would work for Thulsa Doom... he's covered so any size coulld be done through padding. Rexor would need a pretty tall (or at least modified body) and Thorgrim would probably benefit from one of the Ross bodies given how thick and squat he is.

Thanks guys.... I've probably got a years worth of customs right there. No worries if your not interested in the gladiator I can probably go a couple of projects at the same time, I'd've learnt a lot on this project and hope each gets better & better. Though I will finalize DD 1st then start the next... Thanks again for your support.
Not far on DD, redid the feet last night and then just the weapons to finish , then I can start to cast up the copies

Hey thanks, blades are being cut today from 1mm mild steel, the sword will have a tang which the hilt will be slid over and glued in place

Hey guys, not much of an update the sword & Axe are being cut, got to wait my turn I guess :dunno but they will be ready next week, until then I'm working out the detailing, leather backing to the Shield, painted the new feet which use the sockets from the KP body, (not the best sculpting on those but will work for now), painted the horns. Just need to get more silicone to cast the last few bits and it'll be ready. Sourcing the fur for the cloak and the skirt, what do you reckon Bear or wolf skins? No new photos as it really hasn't changed, it's just everything stays on now with the strapping

all sounds good shock.
i was going to go with something dark/black but almost kind of stringy looking like the pic represents for his cape/robe. it may turn out that what is on the original painting may not interpret to 1:6 scale that well but we'll see. the look of the cape may be able to be replicated by use of a bunch of single strands of hair........mohair perhaps?

I've seen some on dorgs & cbobs marines thread they used on the wolf marine which should work... u know it kinda looks like chimp hair LOL
