I ended up using a different set of horns which are smooth, and yes I used sculpey my next project is using 50-50 mix sculpey & sculpey firm holds better detail & sharper lines.

it's intimidating me so far............i'm skeered..........:horror
nah.........just busy with house stuff.........but i have been gathering bits & parts. bought some stuff for straps & buckles. just really deciding how im going to do the chain mail. that has to be first and fit everything over that. once that obstacle is cleared it should roll pretty quick. well i hope anyway..........:lol

Lol I'm itching to start on it!!!! Watching football with the wife tonight instead. I did manage to sneak out to the backyard and look for a stick to use for the axe handle. I'm trying to find one like I found for my other DD with just the right curve. I should be able to drill out the helmet tomorrow evening. I'll take pics if it works out

I figured you'd be doing a lot of mods Spyder, hope you like it as a base to start with.. what kind of stick you going to use. anything in my yard would turn to dust within 6 months

Quick question on painting... I know painting a black basecoat is good for metallics. But does it matter if its a matte or gloss coat of black? Just curious one what to do when I get started with this :duff

Once you've finished filling and sanding.. I did very little as I think the texture adds to the look of dark age armour, I'd give it a wash in mild soapy water and let it dry, Matt black will look better I think

I have a lot of trees around the house. Pine, walnut, apple trees. I try to find something that isn't too dreams brittle and those work the best.

Finished drilling out the helmet. I had to remove the mouth area but I kind of like the looks of it. Once I clean up my mistakes and sand the helmet I'll add the horns a add a pic.

I would if I wasn't already working on three other projects for this month Hopefully in a couple of weeks if you have any kits left.
