Re: Evilface's Fourth Circle of Hell - Stand Decals and Customs

Whats the best method you guys use when putting these on? I would probally put it on crooked, like a goof ball.

To apply one of the decals, pull the backing paper off and place the center of the decal down on the stand's base and work it out from the center using the edge of a credit card firmly all over the surface, then pull the protective paper off the surface of the decal. If you happen to have a small air bubble or two, take a sharp pin or needle or a hobby knife and puncture the bubble, then use the edge of the credit card or your fingernail to work the bubble out until it flattens.

Dig the Patton one! Really thinking about springing for that figure myself. And the vintage ESB one is just tops! Been meaning to say that. Love the silver/chrome.

Hi there, if im applying the decals to a stand already has some decals on it, do it need to remove the old decals? if so, how? thanks in advance.

If you mean a stand that just has the painted on movie/ character titles, then you don't need to do anything, but if you mean another Evilface decal, then yes, you need to remove that old decal to avoid getting air bubbles or what appear to be air bubbles due to the uneven surface that the decal underneath will create.

I've never had to remove an old Evilface decal from a stand that it's been placed on that was meant to be permanent, but I think you can start with an blade or xacto knife to help lift off one of the edges, then carefully peel it away. Most likely the decal might get ruined, so I don't know if you hope to reuse it after it's been removed. Good luck!

Just wetsand the old screenprinted logo off with some light grit sandpaper.

If removing a old decal, just heat up with a hairdyer and clean up any residue with googone.

I figured I'd chime in by saying if your stand has a logo already, do yourself a favor and sand it down. I've come to find that the logo on the stand will be embossed underneath the EF decal. Not sure if every logo/stand is the same but that's from my own personal experience.

Thanks emarae:) Yes, I meant the stands that just have the painted movie/ characters. If your the same person who has tons of videos on 1/6 figures, thanks again. Your videos are awesome!...:clap

Thanks evil face, I haven't ordered any decals yet. Just planning ahead once I get the figure :)

Still my favourite decal of yours. I looked through from page 90 to find this stand just to comment on it. I only like stands that are uniquely colored like this one, nameplates do nothing for me. This rules!
