I don't know man - while in hand vs pics makes a difference - when something is off it always is off, even the die hard sculpt while the sculpt was perfect the size issue was always there and no matter how people spin and take those pics it's still there. I am in a dilemma now should I even be buying the yunsil outfit cause this sculpt was for that set. If that outfit was not being made I could so easily move on from buying this one!

Quite upsetting :( ... So much efforts gone into this from the artist side as well!

Totally agree with everything said here

Same here. I agree with Leon 911. I'm still debating whether to buy the sculpt because the outfit is being made by Yunsil. Like he said if there wasn't an outfit interest list, this would have been an easy pass for me. Have to sit on this for a while.

I think you guys are safe getting the Yunsil outfit. Someone is going to nail the Indy likeness sooner or later and you don't want to be left without the perfect outfit set to go with it.

FORTUNE AND GLORY - Professor of Archaeology (Painted/Unpainted sculpt) - ORD...

I know someday somebody will make one. And I am all for people who want to buy it and also the outfit. I am torn apart cause yunsil has umpteen outfits on production these days. Soon I am running out of passion on many of the stuff coming out as too much is coming too soon and also most of the real "do or die" stuff I wanted, I already have it or am on lists. Then to buy a clothing set and wait for a sculpt seems like an ardent task. I rather throw that investment at some other yunsil project. 250-270 for a not so accurate sculpt is a huge ask (just my opinion not saying with any offense to anyone)

Yep that's along the line of what I'm thinking now...can't imagine passing up on Yunsil's outfit for Indy! I'd be crazy to do that. You're right...someday... the likeness of Indy sculpt will be spot on...someday. :)

Guys, on the first day, I was on that very same boat...

Then I thought: chances are, this HS will look much better in hand. The proto is near perfect, so why would the final be different?

Plus, I'm pretty sure that it can be resold at that price, on the board or EBay should you be disappointed by the result. The thing to consider is, once it's gone, it's gone...

I emailed MJ my info a few days ago to order this head sculpt. How long does it take before he confirms your order and gives you payment info?

I've ordered the unpainted but I have to echo the comments of many other members here. I would really like some confirmation that the casting from the mold is unchanged from the original sculpture photo that was shown with the neck still intact.

That original sculpture looks superb but I haven't seen ANY photos of the casting (painted or unpainted) shown here that look as convincing as the original sculpture. For the price that is being asked, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect us to ask for some confirmation that the casting will be the same as the original sculpture's appearance. I know that will put my mind at ease. I don't want to open the box only to find that sure enough, there are differences between the casting and the original sculpture. It sure looks weird in the fully painted and assembled full body photos shown here.

Thanks in advance.

Chris

The casting will be the photos of the unpainted cast that Marf has already posted. Which looks nearly identical to the necked version

Good to hear.
One thing which I think is throwing off the painted likeness is the eyebrows. The original sculpt clearly shows the expression is meant to have his eyebrows angled upwards as they go towards the bridge of the nose. The painted head has got the eyebrows angled down towards the bridge of the nose and this is causing a contradiction in the expression on the face. I honestly think that if the line of the sculpted eyebrows is followed during the paintjob, this will further bring the likeness alive. You can see this in the comparison pic that someone posted earlier:
