I'm cool with either A or B. Just curious Ullipekka what are your feelings on doing more Arnold Sculpts? cause I remember seeing you wanted to take a break from Arnold before but then this beautiful Head Sculpt Popped up. with this sculpt as a base I'm open to buying different versions, especially since I missed out on the Conan sculpt.

Not exactly what I had in mind because I was trying to eliminate any dipping in the middle - I know a few of you seem determined that it should have that for the intensity but I'm not convinced his eyebrows actually do that - they aren't doing it in those Conan shots that Gamma posted for one thing. I think the intensity comes through with a combination of other things.

However, I must say RIDDICK yours nevertheless does look nice.

A-dev, I 100% agree with you about the eyebrows. Somehow Arnold defies logic with that face. Maybe he works out his face muscles as well and that's how he is able to do these things. I am willing to sacrifice on the brows a bit to go for the proper "look".

You're not wrong. Just look at some of the pictures I posted. First one.....intense with eyebrows slanted slightly down. Second one, extreme intensity and brows are nearly straight across, never slanted in.

Just make him look really mean. In T1 the T-800 is a one man/machine wrecking ball, massacring a club full of Tech-No fans then going to the local cop shop & causing a serious recruitment issue in the LAPD.
I think you've got to get that dead eyes look as well. Arnie was so good as the T-800 as his acting is rather robotic, and his emotions are really lacking but this is perfect for this role.

Cant wait to see the final results.

I would call that his gun-firing face - looks like he pushes his lower jaw forward, pulls his mouth up, he's kinda doing it in the Conan shots aswell. I don't consider that to have opened a can of worms though - I think he can have the lip-curl and the squint without going to that extreme and restructuring his jaw.

Still trying to find a compromise between what I think it should be and what others want to see as regards those eyebrows. I just added a bit to the tops in the middle of the face and skimmed a little bit off the ends where I thought they were too angular. Again trying to emphasize the brow creases between the eyes and maybe an added wrinkle line below the squint eye.

Personally I think that looks plenty mean enough. I can totally see that face scanning Tech Noir to try to find Sarah Connor while Burnin' in the third degree plays

Good job a-dev. I can honestly say I like it better than Riddick's last attempt, but that's not to say I wouldn't take Riddick's. If Ulli can reproduce yours, I think we might have a winner.

I know he is doing another adjustment, but I'd like to see something finalized when I get home from work tomorrow so I can regain some sanity. :lol

I can't wait to not talk about eyebrows :lol Luckily they've been burnt off on the BD Tech Noir...assuming we haven't burnt Ulli out with this one.


I must confess I've been bold again...well alright, a n a l retentive. Just subtle additions and trimmings from my previous one. Here it is, I would be totally happy with this:



I think Gamma-at's suggestion on the creases between the eyes was a good one. I doubted it last night but having done a few tests with it I think it may bring balance to the force on this particular sculpt.

I think you're lookin' way too much into "creases between the eyes" thing. Making them deeper would look cartoonish. You can just ask your painter to shade them the way you want instead.

I felt like the creases would be necessary to compensate for whatever people thought it was losing with the eyebrows I had previously been drawing (and which were on Ulli's V1 from yesterday). If it actually isn't now necessary to make them more noticeable then yeah no biggie.

Your latest is better than your previous I think. Mine are altered a bit more on the furthest edges which is the only difference I see there.

At first, I thought yours was perfect a-dev. Then I looked at RIDDICK's and thought it looked perfect too. When I shrunk them so I could see both on the screen together, something about the creases on yours a-dev indicated just this miniscule sense of worry. I don't see that when looking at them separately, just when I can compare them. Maybe that means I would go with RIDDICK's, but it is such a small, small difference. As RIDDICK's gif indicates, you two duke it out:lol. I'm going to work. When I get home I will smile when I see THE perfect Terminator.
