trying to help bring that menacing look with the eye squint, I just made the brow/nose darker. i think making those creases deeper would help. ignore the lip part. fyi RIGHT side model is the side where i drew it better.

I did some reshaping of the squint eye - actually appears less squinty now and that wasn't my intention as such..but it does look good I think. I tried reshaping the other eye aswell but with less success so I reset it back to my last mod (which itself may not have been the best). I would like to give that another go but I really should go asleep for a bit. I've also included a sample with more emphasis to the brow creases as Gamma-at suggested just to see what that might look like.

I think the right side mod looks great. It has a menacing look even with the corrected eyebrows, so maybe it is possible.

A-dev, the squint you did doesn't seem as menacing as what Gamma-at was able to achieve. I hope UlliPekka can replicate Gamma-at's version.

Maybe we need more than eyelid work. There are the creases of course, but there is also a very slight lifting of the cheek when you squint. It's more than just adjusting one thing.

I think they both look pretty good. A has the squint and lip curl. B has the bushier eyebrows and no squint or lip curl. I could be happy with these two options. B would be a good option for anyone doing the arrival scene since he has a pretty neutral look there.

B has this squint but its not as noticeable as the left (Model A), the model’s lower part of the eye is almost even with it’s left eye, the squinting is in the upper right part of the eye lid its there just not dominant like the left model’s eye. But your right with the lip curl. somethings to think about when squinting its not just in the eyes, there a bit of movement in the eyebrow and cheek, in the conan photos there are slight creases above the cheek and the brow comes down a bit in the middle.

They do both look good. I'm just still not convinced on the need for (or accuracy of) that severe straight brow based on pictures from the film that I've been looking at. I understand the rationale for it that you guys have but I'm not sure it's actually borne out by the man himself. I think he still looks like a mean mofo with the more slanting bushier eyebrows combined with the squint and lipcurl.

I'll have to study the film more to see if I can find examples proving one case or the other. Maybe we're all wrong. Maybe there's a compromise where, for his frown, you keep the straight line from below to achieve shadow over the eyes but just make the top a little bushier so it doesn't look so straight up there. Could be very subtle. I dunno. More testing! But which mod do I even start from at this point :thud:

I was trying to restore intensity to it which you thought had been lost in yesterday's version 1.

I'm not sure that would manifest in the sculpt more than just the lipcurl that we already had and possibly adding wrinkles below the eye/deepening the ones that are there. I had added one wrinkle below the eyelid in my mods that I thought looked good. I based it on this pic

I'm becoming a little overwhelmed and distraught at this point. Too many "options" to choose from now. Hope Ulli isn't sick of us at this point. If we get option A and B, I will be happy. Unless something substantial is changed, we're not going to notice these little nuances. If you were to have each of those heads on a body, at a quick glance, you would surmise they were the same.

I don't think we should give up quite yet, but let's not tax Ulli too much. He has given us some great stuff here.

However, his latest ones are a good base. B is actually very very good in and of itself. That could be made as is - a slightly less stern T-800 - as you mentioned, good for the arrival/''Nice night for a walk'' bit.

My only point of contention on A is the eyebrows. I'm just now working on that compromise I was talking about and I like the results so far....

Keep trying as long as you have some steam left in you. Maybe what we should do is post these pictures at the size the head is actually going to be and see if these changes really make a difference. I too would like to see the eyebrows changed, but they do add to the menacing look and Ulli seems to like them, so that should count for something.

All I've done is add to the tops of the eyebrows and slightly emphasize the brow creases more. They're still pretty straight on top as it turns out - maybe my problem was merely that they could have been bushier.

I wish you would have done the brows in the same shade. It's throwing it off for me. Obviously, a little more accurate, but does it lose intensity? Can you do the brows with the same shade and re-post? You know that you can customize the colors with paint right? Maybe you just did it that way to show us what you did exactly.

I take more time with the blending when I'm not in work :monkey3 A few of my other ones have been very good in that regard, I amazed even myself - but I was able to do those uninterrupted. I could do it again but it worries me that you've said it lost intensity. Personally I think it's negligible when it's for the sake of accuracy.
