Marf, without wanting to cause any hate here, is MJ aware of the size issue and the fact that many people have dropped out because of this (me included)?

The likeness is so incredible that I would really love to display that baby, but the size is just disappointing.

With this being said, I am really worried about Indy and (hopefully) future projects. The size issue really needs to be addressed to MJ and he has to take care of this. Maybe he needs a head for comparisson. I really dont want this to happen with Indy again... :(

Yes, MJ was aware that some people were upset by the scale. MJ was adamant that shrinking the cast would distort it to an unacceptable degree. I made everyone's concerns known, but when it comes down to it, I am a world away, and MJ will do as they see fit.

The Indy sculpt is on its way to me now, so you will all be able to see and judge for yourselves shortly.

Must go faster. Just saying .

Even if the Indy sculpt is large, it shouldn't matter as much since most will be using it with the shirt and jacket. As you can see in the comparison pics, his Butcher sculpt is roughly in scale with the McClane, but I didn't see many people taking issue with it when he was on a figure with an outfit. Unfortunately, McClane insists on being displayed with a wife beater!

It will matter if the hat doesn't fit. Unless MJ is sculpting a hat as well. Not sure if that's been determined or not.

Surely he will. Would be very strange not to, IMO. In fact, it really should be sculpted as part of the head, and not a separate hat. Separate hats that fit over a sculpt rarely work well in 1/6 scale.

On its way as in today? :)

I agree on this as I have seen the head on the body with clothing and it looked just fine.
Can always do a Die Hard 2 with clothing and it will come out just fine, but Andrew just proved me wrong and that the head can work with the tank top.

I respectfully disagree that the butcher sculpt and the mclane sculpt are in scale with one another. They exemplify about the furthest discrepancy betweenn1/6 you can get with mcclane veering closer to 1/5 and bill verging closer to 1/7. His joker was also undersized.

There's no doubt in my mind that this is the greatest Willis sculpt ever captured and executed, that's not for debate but it's dissappointing that it misses a very important mark.

With respect to the fact that the sculpt was already done and its anyone's choice to buy it or not to buy it, with all of the concerns clearly outlined from the get go, and as mentioned above, many people passed because of it, it would be nice to see MJ put greater attention to detail in the future as I look forward to his future releases.

It's also not an issue of clothes vs no clothes. Otherwise every Arnold would look Pin headed without his clothes on as would every wolverine.

You put the john head next to the joe Colton head... Miles difference. The joe Colton head can't even touch this one in terms of likeness though.

I've had neither in hand, but unless there is some serious forced perspective in this picture, or unless you don't think the helmet is form-fitting, these sculpts seem very close to the same size:

His Bill has more squished facial features though, and a smaller forehead but larger chin, which may contribute to the illusion that it's much smaller?

I really think you have to have the sculpt in hand. Pictures just don't show the discrepancies properly. I have been comparing the head to many others I have, and although it is slightly bigger......slightly, it is not on the magnitude of an entire scale. It does not come anywhere near 1/5 scale. People in real life have strikingly different size heads. If every 1/6 head was exactly the same size, then that would be wrong. I don't know how Bruce Willis's head compares to others', but the sculpt is just barely longer and hardly wider at all. It's not a balloon like some are implying here. Hot Toys heads used to be smaller compared to Sideshow's heads. That held for most Japanese companies actually. People complained about that. When Hot Toys started to increase the size of their heads, people complained about that. People are always going to complain. Buy the sculpt or don't buy it. Display it next to another figure or don't display it next to another figure. Some of us are very happy to have this.

Im afraid that Indy is MJ's last custom sculpt.

Your work is highly appreciated! Thanks Marf! :duff

Can you confirm that Indy will be the last head? I silently hoped for a MJ Marty McFly...
