Re: Hey You Guuuuuys! - Update - Tshirt Logos

Yeah, silicone. I would just pull the piece while it was still warm. Then bend the hat folds back in place if there was any distortion.

Looks great! Do you pressure cast? (Hope you don't mind me asking, just a fellow customizer always trying to perfect my own stuff and learning from others). I currently don't pressure cast and overall it works fine, but I hate the micro-bubbles that sometimes make paint adhere weirdly to the surface.

Not to butt in but I hadn't pressure cast anyhinf before last November and I'll NEVER turn back. Immediately the results are worth the little extra work and the cost of either building or buying the equipment. Invest your money and time in it and you won't be disappointed

Re: Hey You Guuuuuys! - Update - Tshirt Logos

While pressure casting is nice it's not always necessary. There are a handful of tricks that can help you avoid the expensive equipment and still produce a nice looking piece. Gating a part correctly, heating the mold, and precasting troubled areas can help big time.

Yeah absolutely depends on the piece. I had good results before the equipment but its a great asset to add to your tool belt, if one can ;)

Re: Hey You Guuuuuys! - Update - Accessories

Definitely. I made a small one for my Slimer project and it worked well. It's especially handy on difficult parts.

Re: Hey You Guuuuuys! - Update - Accessories

Re: Hey You Guuuuuys! - Update - Babyruth?

This made it to the tailor some time ago. It's gone far slower than I expected and we're working out some kinks. I'll post pics as soon as they're available.

Re: Hey You Guuuuuys! - Update - Tailoring

Goonies never say die and if you've been wondering . . . this project is very alive. I just received my first good look at the work being done on Sloths clothing and I wanted to share it with you. These pics are still early in the process so it lacks some finishing touches but I'm happy with it so far.
