The point is though soccer has a bigger fan base than WWF characters. Messi in particular is pretty huge everywhere right now. I don't follow it and I know who he is. I can't say the same for any WWF character.

I assume that soccer is bigger than the WWE internationally (though I haven't done any research on this) , but with all respect to soccer the WWE has a much larger fanbase in the US. It's actually regularly a top ten cable show though I don't know if it could beat out your beloved Jersey Shore.

It's funny looking back, Hulk Hogan is now a reality TV star (almost as bad as Jersey Shore) and The Rock is known for his children roles in films. :lol (Though he does have some cool action flicks).

But yeah, I know who they are. Would I wan't them on my shelf? No. Would they be interesting to me to see on someone else's shelf? No. Do you know who Dan Marino or Tiger Woods is? :rolleyes2

Im not shooting anything down, like I said, I used to watch WWF a lot when I was a kid, digged that Attitude Era all those stories and all... WWE now I catch the trailers that come on TV while watching something else... and all I see are guys with no presence.

But coming to what you said... Soccer is WAAAAAAAAAAAY bigger internationally than WWE. Plus in the outside countries WWE is something that people once they go beyond the 16/17 demography hold no interest in. Soccer takes over lives for people.
Plus Iminime's largest sales dont come from the US, rather Asia... so keep that in mind.

I think it all boils down in the end to whether people are willing to accept some inaccuracies moreso on the body type. Customisers can make a great head and slap it to a regular muscle TT. Some like mayb Triple H can work.. others like say Undertaker would be glaringly inaccurate... etc etc

Honestly in Soccer as well as WWE (which are technically both entertainment sports) I think more than figures memorabilia is a bigger market. I know fans will kill for a Messi autographed picture/boot/shirt than over a figure of him no matter how accurate... same thing with WWE, chaps will clamour for a Rock/Bret Hart used porp/clothing than a figure maybe... the collectible spark in these sports come more from having a 'piece of your idol' than a replica of one...

But thats just my opinion...

Gotta say Zach, that's kinda true. The hobby and the forum takes all kinds. We all have interests that many others could dig and a bunch of others could say "WTF is that about?"

I'm not a big wrestling guy either. I was back in the Hulkster days like 25+ years ago. Just 'cause you and I wouldn't buy wrestling figs isn't to say that there isn't a BIG fan base out there.

And WWF/WWE characters aren't even close to the most obscure wishlist ideas I've heard before


So can we get back to talking about $300+ guys in black suit figs yet????

I'm not on a crusade. :lol Just making conversation. As I said, I would care less if IMINIME did WWF characters. I don't think they would transfer well into a 12 inch figures. :dunno

Yea there are some great musician figs that have been done and more on the way(like Serang's Prince & Page). I only say I have a movie/TV character only rule to set limits on myself, not because I'm not a fan. If I started with muscians, my completest tendencies would send me into a downward spiral into depths of which I shall never return :lol

Lets not even talk about artists. Serang's Van Gogh is SO F__KIN' RIDICULOUS it makes me want to break my rule. I don't think I'd be able to refrain if it were Dali
