Ya know?!?!?! :lol

Well I guess that'll make a handful of people happy. Hopefully they do it under a different name so they can keep going with the underground stuff. I like the direction they are heading with the custom stuff.

It's a lot easier to get the license to an animated property than go after a celebrity's mug I would wager. And Cowboy Bebop has a lot more than a handful of fans, I can guarantee you. Don't hate.

Cowboy Bebop, huh? I used to be a pretty huge fan of that show, and I'm not a fan of anime in general. The soundtrack was really great, too. I am interested!

Interestingly considering the Ripley release earlier today, there was one episode of Bebop that was a great homage to Alien.

I do think Evil Dead 2/Army of Darkness would be much cooler though, and would appeal to a broader western base of collectors.

Glad to hear it! 'Toys in the Attic', great episode. :rock

Keep in mind that Denny is only pursuing the license for this figure at this point, there's no guarantee it's going to happen. And while I'm sure there are plenty of other characters out there that would appeal more to the Western base, I have no doubt Spike would be a great seller overall. :exactly:

Also keep in mind, Denny has longevity in mind for his company, there will be plenty more character selections! In fact, some of the licenses he's told me he is pursuing alongside Bebop would make the western base very happy indeed.

Cowboy Bebop or rather any top flight OVA property would outsell ALL those guys in the pictures worldwide... and I would bet my whole collection to that. The characters you posted will do ok to decent in the US... which isnt that great for a mass produced collectible/custom.
Stuff like CB would sell out alone in Japan let alone the rest of Asia...

And these guys? wouldnt even be relegated to peg warmers...

well if iminime moves in that direction it will be a huge break on my wallet that's for sure! I'm sure they will still also continue their recent project types as well though, which, if are distributed in lesser numbers per year, will also probably be best for my financially. There are just so many more great classic film characters yet to be made...

Oh I see real movies :lol , but I just cant see narrow mindedness some guys have that these are 'cartoons'...

some of these 'cartoons' have better plots and pacing and screenplay than some of the better/acclaimed live action films... and people who shun them for being 'cartoons' dont know what they are missing...

And I sometimes can't see your “narrow mindness”. You continuously call things niche and left field that are just so far from it. And now Goodfellas, Training Day, True Romance, and Heat aren’t even “peg warmers” but Cowboy Bebop is gonna be some kind of Earth shattering release. They would do ok-decent in the US alone? Come on bro. I’m not denying the fact that there is a huge anime fan base. I know anime will sell well because I’m able to see past my own personal wishlist and know that there are a lot of other people out there with different taste than mine. You gotta stop calling things that you’re not into left field.

PCK, you should honestly check Bebop out.

Axe is right on here:

The work, which becomes a new genre itself, will be called. ... Cowboy Bebop.
