Seriously, Vincent and Jules is a no-brainer as far as sales go, surely? Not a single high-end sculpt of these two available. Headplay did a Vincent, but the hair is wrong for just about every scene. :gah:

I think Vincent and Jules would have been done long back, but with the trend being only wanting buy the sculpts and people having a ready bash of suit and clothes left, its proving a hindrance.

Iminime cant afford to sell only head sculpts, its no one man operation like Rainman so that all the sales from the proceeds can work.
They pay monthly salaries to the costumers, the sculptors and painters... so the cost of maintenance is the same irrespective of how they sell... not a contractual basis work like Rainman and other single artists have with their costumers, plus they are one man operations of sculpt and paint...

With a situation like this I can see why they dont want to sell only sculpts... and I guess with Jules and Vincent, majority will want to buy only the sculpt. Even if its done as a head and clothing set, people will probably want the ZYToys suit that seems to be the rage now rather than spend $150 or so on a suit...

Yeh, all that makes complete sense. It's a bummer, as they're a pair of my favourite characters, but I'm sure Denny has some good reveals around the corner (*cough Beatrix *Maximus *cough etc)

None of the current offerings are doing it for me tbh. I'm still up for Tony Soprano, but want to hold out for the updated head reveal, if there is to be one. But apart from that it's clear sky as far as my interests go. It gives me a chance to save my coin though :)

I have some 'maybe' good news for you, I just asked Denny and he said that Maximus isnt cancelled, its just that they need more time working on his outfit.

I agree about Jules and Vincent being great, iconic characters worthy of being released as custom figures, but the suit issue is a problem that I also understand. In fact, it might keep me from buying those complete figures. Kill Bill would seem the best Tarantino films for Iminime to make figures from.

from tarantino i'd prefer resevoir dogs, or drexel from true romance--which is still technically tarantino. or NBK....
but i really want someone to take on a mid ninties depp character, so i can buy an extra sculpt on top of the fig and bash a different character that likely wont get done seeing the general collecting tastes on the board

Well ins't this thread called "sculpt wishlist" why would there be such a thing if it's such a hinderance to only make heads? Anyways, that's why I said most of these characters could be bashed. They sell headsculpts on their site and they offer paint service, so are they not making money on these? Besides if Iminime wanted to they could offer Jules and Vincent in a different outfit perhaps after they shot Marvin in the face and had to wear Jimmie's clothes, plus they could have some awesome accessories like the glowing suitcase, Badmother****er wallet, Vincent's fix kit, Big Kahuna burger Drink and their Guns.

Have you seen them offering ONLY sculpts of any character without a full set option of him? Sculpt Wishlist is a misnomer here, and I dont blame Denny for that. If you have been following the thread, you would have understood by now that its all about characters... not ONLY sculpts.

And yes Iminime have a paint up service, and they sell Sculpts of only SELECT releases... and as expensive they are, they are not selling like Call of Duty to outgun the profits they get on selling a full set figure and bring in the funds to maintain the team.

^^ yep, Tom Cruise, red riding hood chick
Those are sculpts made even before they were a settled team, the same sculptor who did Ronaldinho, that Daniel Craig. the sketchy Iminime period before they restructured themselves with Rainman as art director and a whole team of sculptors, painters and tailors.

^^^If I'm not mistaken, didn't they do the Selene sculpt for the ZCWO offering?

I agree about Jules & Vince. A high end offering is long overdue. It is tricky with the whole black suit for $150 thing when a lot of people will go with the ZC Toy suit for $39 or under. I rather get the full fig from Iminime but know most won't. There has to be a way to work out the kinks and get this done.

There are things here that justify a full figure release:

- Vince needs some type of padding or fat suit

- Their guns are specific and not available on the market

- Accessories like Bad MF wallet and briefcase are needed. The Big Kahuna Burger stuff would work for the "ezekiel" scene too and would actually be a pretty awesome touch (The same way they include the fast food drink with basically every Mr. Blonde figure from 7"-12").

-If there was interest, there could be a DX Vince. He wears this outfit for as long or longer than the plain black suit throughout the movie(from when he cops the "madman" from his dealer to when he drops Mia back off): Blazer with shiny top lapel, bolo tie, white shirt, black jeans, raincoat, ponytail 2nd sculpt (and if doable, peace sign hands and $5 milkshake :D):

I think that's enough to do full figs, but if not then maybe head and accessory kits. If they are worried about recasting, they can offer them as a set to keep the price high (like you have to buy J & V together, not offered separately).

The Reservoir Dog boy are harder to figure out because there are a lot more of them plus Joe & Eddie. But c'mon...these are only two guys. There has to be a way to bring them to life.

And I'd be lying if I said that I don't want a BD Butch to go with them...

Please consider Verbal Kint :)

I think with Rainman sculpting the head this could be a killer relase.
