what about some more TARANTINO pairs Denny? django and shultz from Django Unchained, pumpkin and honey bunny or butch and marcelus or z and the gimp from Pulp Fiction, jackie and ordell from Jackie Brown A FEW PAIRS OF THE RESERVOIR DOGS! WHO WOULD NOT LOVE SOME MORE TARANTINO 1/6 LOVE! Whats your thoughts denny? so many classic characters.

I'll never understand how people can want this character so badly. He's a rapist and murderer. I appreciate the message of the film, and, while it's uncomfortable to watch, it's a good quality film, but, I don't know. People are literally putting Delarge on a pedestal, like he's some sort of punk rock anti-hero icon. Good movie or not, that guy's a piece of **** with literally no redeeming qualities. I don't think I could bring myself to shell out the kind of money for a representation of the scumbag, much less look at him each and every day after he arrived. Fictional or not, he's a creep.:lol

I think since Delarge has so few redeeming qualities, that makes him even more of an interesting character. The movie takes you on a journey with him and dare I say identify/sympathize with him slightly?. One of my favorite aspects of the film is the ending, he isn't cured at all. Such a great ending, and not the usual " bad character finds morality and the error of his ways" The movie is so far ahead of its time. I showed it to my gf and she thought it was made in the mid 80's. One of my favorites. To each their own, you want the Duke(boring to me) some want Alex.

This character is perfect for Iminime and if its started now Denny can maybe have it released aroiund the same time as hottoys robocop and catch that wave. Its good business and you gotta be crazy not to see the potential

I would agree that you pity him as he's subjected to pain and torment, but the idea that, even after all of that, he remains unchanged, while brilliant, makes me abhor the character. As I said, there are literally zero redeeming qualities about him, and, while I agree that everyone has the right to own whatever they want, that doesn't mean I can understand why someone would want a figure of a rapist who bludgeoned a woman to death with a giant ceramic *******. I just think it kind of undermines the point of the film; granted, it's all in interpretation, but I saw it as an anti-violence picture that used Delarge as a tool to show you just how unsettling violence can be. I still don't understand it, but, as you said, to each their own; there are people that collect weirder things (at least Delarge has some visual aesthetic appeal, as opposed to one of those sadomasochistic "tortured souls" McFarlane things):lol. With that in mind, the whole thing reminds me of a quote from Justified:
"I don't know. I figure people are entitled to their hobbies, and I'm entitled to think those people are creepy."

:lol

As for wishlist stuff, I must say that I really like the idea of Indy. I have yet to see a "definitive" version of that character that wasn't a one-off.

Haha...nice quote I dont get the tortured souls thing either. Clockwork is not a movie about anti-violence, but about free will. Thats the way I've always seen it and most anaylis I've read about it over the years have said as well. It is also about anti-violence but the biggest theme for me is that of free will. Even if people are twisted criminals and do horrible **** like Delarge thats their choice and we as a society by changing his most basic urges with the treatment he was given have taken away his ability to choose/his humanity, essential making him the clockwork orange of the films title.
