Are you serious bro?! I'm really starting to think your never gonna pleased. Denny went back and improved in what I thought was a very good likeness. Made it better. You don't see Denzel? Well you might need an eye exam cause I showed this figures pictures to so many people at work yesterday and they saw him immediately and loved it.

Nothing will ever be perfect. Remember these words and enjoy what we're getting cause it could have never came out at all.

I'm not the only one that felt this way (just look at the comments after the first reveal). Personally I think that this was a similar situation to Lecter, Skipper, ST, Butler and John Doe. Minor changes were made but bigger changes were necessary.

I'm I still buying it? Of course I PO'd and paid in full before I even saw a pic like I usually do with Denny. I do so because I like to support Iminime and the projects that they do that I have interest and confidence in. I'd be lying if I said that I haven't been strongly debating canceling since the reveal though. The improvements are ok and they took the extra age off of him, but I'm still on the fence TBH. I'm not nuts about the sculpt but I do like the overall package and that's what's keeping me here.

Please don't make me out to be the guy that b/itches and buys anyway because that's not me. I'm pleased by plenty. I'm MORE than happy with all (aside from a few figs; again I'm not alone) of the custom offerings (figs, outfits, accessories) that I've been lucky enough to snag since I joined the board. The only thing that I b/tched and bought was Jules. I was contemplating putting Vince up for sale and canceling Jules and YOU talked me off of the ledge. The one time I b/tched and bought and now you're making it out like it's my MO :lol

I just want to be clear about that situation in case anyone misunderstood me. I DO like Vince as a figure. I didn't like certain logistics and aspects of the process and package, but I always dug Vince. My love for this fig just got a bit clouded by other frustrations. I wasn’t crazy about Jules and again was frustrated with certain aspects. In the end I decided to hang in there and give the whole set a fair shake eace

LMAO! Was waiting for one of these. I meant no ill will my dude. Not trying to make you the Nazi poster boy of 1/6! I was just taken back by the statement. But we all have different views and perceptions of whats good. I just felt that it was a big improvement and is more than worthy for the price point we get the iminime figures at.

We are very blessed to have Denny to communicate with and take our constructive criticism.:exactly: Even the criticism that you conveyed for this project which in my opinion helped make this release even better. So thanks for that bro!

As for Julie I think you wont regret that purchase! :wink1: And remember this as well. All custom works are not perfect out the box. They need love and attention like a brand new baby! If they have that you never know what they can become! :duff

No offense taken broski But after saying something like that I just felt that I should explain myself so people don't get things twisted. I can see you or anyone else being taken back if I was the only one who feels this way, but I'm not.

Believe me, I'm a perfectionist but I understand that nothing is perfect. I understand deadlines; I understand that everyone is human, etc. Nothing will ever be pure perfection but certain things can be brought closer to the mark. I know that Iminime, Rainman and everyone else in the business has a hard job…. But they should know what they got themselves into :lol. They're not servicing the Hasbro & Mattel crowd. They're product attracts the high end collector crowd who generally have high standards and high expectations.


Personally I think that the outfit is of course a dead giveaway but if you pop that sculpt on a regular black suit, it's not easily recognizable as Denzel; not to an avid collector or to the laymen. Several of us mentioned we saw that the shape of the head and face was off from the early stages (still after the original tweak which made this look less like Jamie Fox and more like Denzel). I think that at this point after all of the previous similar situations, we've all learned that the when something is too far off of the mark, the little changes just don't provide big enough improvements.

Tyler is a night and day improvement! And they revised that sculpt 3 times!

Iminime has improved so much in the last year and they have an incredible catalog of WIPs as we speak. I hate to say that this one is riding in the back of the bus compared to everything else they are offering right now
