That's good but it is an option for anyone who needs one also. Those SS belts are a bit outdated. Lol

Hence why I was looking for a HT one for ages, because they were the only decent ones I could find at a reasonable price. I don't think the SS one is awful but certainly it could be better and there is better out there. I think we'd all love Kato clothing and $300+ boots but at the end of the day things need to be affordable for the average member. If the belt could be cheap enough, I think people would buy it.

These Indy boards would be really boring if everyone just had all the high end gear on their figures. I really enjoy seeing people coming up with different options for their customs.

But didn't you say that's how it would work when making a Cario shirt? Also the cuffs wouldn't matter since you won't see them right.

No, maybe I'm not being clear. I said to get a good accurate Cairo shirt look at 1/6th you really need no cuffs so the sleeves roll up properly (not bulky). Then you brought up Kato's new shirt which has NO CUFFS and is rolled properly. After that what I meant was even if you cover the properly rolled up NO CUFF sleeves under the jacket, it shouldn't bother people because you don't see the cuffs anyway.

In fact, you almost never need cuffs on the shirt for Raiders -- if under jacket, you don't see cuffs... if Cairo style, cuffs are rolled up, therefore don't need them.

I hope that's clearer.

So we just went in a circle and agreed with each other. Lol

But yeah I'll let you guys know what the price is if we get say 20-30 interest on the belt. If it's better then we are good. Lol

Maybe, I've totally lost my place in this side discussion. Weren't you an advocate of CUFFS... and I was saying NO CUFFS?
No I agreed with you at some point that it would work better that way and used Kato as an example on why it worked. Lol

As nice as that custom looks, I just can't see spending more than $40 on a web belt myself. Think I'll just try fixing up my SS one instead. I've seen ribbed ribbon with a very similar look, so I'll probably try that and then repaint the buckle. Since I'm not having luck finding a belt online.

Let's hope maybe I should start a thread and see how many interest we can get. More people means lower price

Giving me more ideas huh Wor. Lol

I'm pure evil.

Indiana Jones is a potentially expensive custom, always has been. You can get all the parts you need at good prices with patience.

But then, this hobby is not about patience.

Yes, $70 web belt... $70 whip.... $200 boots.... it goes on and on. Kato stuff starts to seem almost reasonable. But its a constant project, constantly changing, upgrading... so you spend $20 on a half-assed belt, then spend another $20 on a slightly better one, then $30 because you find the HT belt... you might as well have spent the $70 on the genuine web belt with real metal working buckle.

A real buckle. That's crazy. And that's what this hobby is. Crazy. Like us.

Honestly though, there are pre-existing web belts that are decent and reasonably priced (as in less than 10usd). No offense to the craftsmanship of those fullmetal pieces (they look great), but 150usd for a belt? C'mon. The committed sales (not just interest) numbers would have to be quite high just to reach a reasonable price.
