This is a great question. I would hope that they would be fabric. I have seen other customs where the backpacks are sculpted and it cheapens the look of the figure imo.

For Joel, don't know about Ellie. I imagine it's definitely a possibility, though, if the Joel backpack production and sales go well.

I like the original better.

I have yet to see the video of the sculpt, so maybe I might like it better then. But going on pic vs pic, I like the original paint app more.

Edit: Watched the sculpt video. It's nice, but I still like the original better. Please have that still be available

Yeah I think I prefer the original as well. The nose definitely looks a bit different on the new sculpt and something is throwing it way off.
