I don't know if even your skills can make me not want the original Wake. But some quality pics might ease my disappointment with the changes.

What were the actual paint app changes?

These pics should have been posted in reverse order. It's like a backwards WIP :lol

If there's no going back to the original, I think my excitement level will deflate quite a bit. & this is why I was concerned about changes.

The only difference I see is his pupil size. :dunno Which is giving it that glaring look. His pupil is just looking more upwards compared to looking dead straight center in the original.

Looks like something that can be changed by just reverting his pupil back to the original size and position.

Different eye placement was the only difference I came up with. Doesn't seem like something that would drastically change the entire look of the sculpt. Of coruse there's lens distortion, but then I watched the video (which I feel is a better representation of how a figure might look in hand), & I still felt disappointed. Perhaps the original was simply photographed at the right angle, under the right lighting :dunno

Edit: Saying I'm disappointed, while true, kinda still feels a bit strong if taken out of context. If the 1st thing I saw was the video of the sculpt, I might have been happy with what I saw. It's only because I've already seen the original pic, which I thought was brilliant.

This is what I was affraid of. I never cared about that furrowed brow nonsense. The first paint up was the best. Oh well it still looks great! I'm interested in seeing you pics Wake!

Guys the PAINT on the actual sculpt DID NOT CHANGE. Only the eye position. lol. Perception is everything. The lighting and angle and clarity of the original pic was better than the conditions on the second. WHICH is why i normally FORBID Denny from shooting pics lol. Leave it to the professionals! haha

:exactly: The eye is just looking upwards compared to dead straight. I just if the eye position was brought down just a tiny bit it would be perfect. Sort of a medium between the original the new eye position.

Yes I see that but I just prefered the straight on look of the first. This will make no difference on whether I purchase or not. I think it is excellent I just prefered the first one. I'm looking forward to your pics Wake!

I think it looks good man everyone has to stop asking to change it cause it's going to get all messed up. Just leave it alone and if you buy it you buy it if you don't you don't. I love the likeness and the eye change makes him look more mean just leave well enough alone it's the best joel sculpt out and that's all there is to it.
