They are my back up Andy is my 1st choice if he then can't get it to a level and says he doesn't think he can do it ( which I have faith he'll pull it off) then I have kumik on stand by.
I have a back up for everything should anything go wrong Yunsil is my back up seamstress.
Being prepared in case something should happen and need someone to take over in an emergency.

The patch test fabric is in the uk should be here tomorrow...... If it's too the right scale I can go ahead and order for the proto
Once you guys are happy I'll start taking deposits for clothes after the proto is shown

How much would the deposit possibly be? Also are we still on target for the assessed cost before? Just checking haha.

I do appreciate your efforts to salvage this project, but its going to be hard for me to put down another deposit, considering what happened to the deposit I made to Sculptor 6 months ago for the original version of this project. And yes I know I am not the only one who put down that original deposit - perhaps I am just the most impatient. :dunno
I have no problem putting a deposit in once a satisfactory painted proto comes to light. There are still many variables / hurdles ahead! I am not losing faith though...I am a very patient guy.
I used to be more patient until I spent 1+ years in the serang Van Gogh thread...

Well I'm ordering the fabrics to be printed end of this month. Also I'm sending Rahmier the omppa this week all boxed ready to go he is going to do some surgery.
On the ompa arms currently the hands and arms don't move they need gluing into place, so Rahmier is going to make them moveable hopefully
I'm expecting the proto to be shown around about may/1st week of April.
Would also like to add I will be throwing in something a lil extra not much but as a thanks for your support.
This project means a lot and without you guys it wouldn't of happened.

I like it, very nice.
The size looks good, I am not seeing the subtle stripes in the pattern... however it could be the photo.
So is the front of the vest going to be this pattern and the back like a cream satin? or are you doing it all as one color? I posted photos earlier in the thread with his coat off for reference. What are you guys doing for the coat buttons? Are these being sculpted?
While we are on the subject of Oompa mods, are we exploring a way to tuck the socks into the shoes?

Not sure about buttons yet I've got an idea for the good ones seen a cheap jacket which I plan on stocking them and taking off the buttons.... Omppa buttons are sorted I think.as for the socks I'm not sure I'll hit that path as soon as I've sorted the top half out.

Oops I meant Vest buttons haha, those are the ones that kind of have an interesting detail. I think the Rainman version just had solid gold beads?
Agreed, this was a concern of mine the last time this pattern was shown
Remember this is only the proto..... But I'm appreciating the advice when you say the stripes is that the gold stripes or the ones in the background if the pattern?
Also how do you guys feel about having a custom made wonka box ? With an awesome design?
If you like the idea I was going to get Bernard 2002 to work on it while the clothes are being done.
What I'd really really like is honest opinions when the proto is done...... I want the best and I also want you guys to have the best! So it's not a case of rushing its a case of getting the details.

Nah it isn't the gold because that is getting painted on later right? The stripes I am referring to are In the flowers. In the actual vest it almost alternates between dark and light, but it almost looks like distinct stripes. It could be just the photo though...can you lost the specific raw pattern you are using?
