Yeah, I read that it can chip easily. I'll put it face down in some tissues or something I figure. Is that what you did?

It doesn't just chip - simply holding it/positioning it can start to make it rub off. Mine has lost all its paint not and I don't use it. My current faceplate is cut out if the Wayne sculpt.

Yeah, it's such an awesome cowl and fp that it really can't look bad no matter what. Sanding the fp sounds like a reprieve compared to all the other mods we've all had to do to the figure :hi5:
Agreed. It is a good figure but it falls FAR from great until you put some real work into it...and some more cash into it.

And that last part is the most disappointing considering the initial cost of this thing.

I've done some of the reccomended customs ie, glove mod, gauntlet mod, Robie face plate, MRM cowl.

Got ya. Thanks a lot for that advice. I could have screwed up big time if I didn't know that.

I tried to fit Robbie's faceplate and somehow it looked crooked. I kept sanding and cutting and ruined the paint.

Hey MRM, I don't want to be a bother but when did these ship? I'm just wondering if i'm in for a bit more of a wait here in Australia. Got my DX 12 recently and I'm very excited to get your cowl :)

Are you saying that your paint came off even though u didn't even rub it but just by holding it? :huh

I got mine too by the way.. looks good, I'm currently painting the head sculpt. Already applied several layers of primer, to smooth the texture of the cowl... although I'll re-build my air compressor for my airbrush to give the cowl an even more flat texture.
