The head looks to be a closer look to the battle of the badtards look. Did you do your own customizing with Vimal's head sculpt?

Nah. I think it's the hairline. The sculpted hair really changes his face. The "real" hair pulled back tight makes a pretty big difference I think.

All I did was paint it and added his hair. It's a great sculpt.

This is really great looking custom. You clearly showed that the hairline is the issue with it, not the sculpt itself.

Didn't really want a BotB Jon until I saw this one...Now I want it :thud:

@Raymond F. - Hey man, what changes did you make to the gloves and boots? They came out really nice. I'm thinking you replaced them entirely (the ThreeZero boots and gloves are disproportionate and cheaply made). I'm having my Vimkerk portrait master pro-painted right now, but I'd like to bring some of the body elements up to par with the new head. Thanks.

A perfect example of what you get when you have a superior sculpt combined with a superior paint job. This takes the figure to new heights. The ThreeZero portrait is so bad it's little better than a He-Man head from 1989.

My boots are leather german boots with a slit cut in the side and laces added.

The hands home from Medicom Dath Maul and he is on a Blitzway Carlito body.

I plan to use the recanted smaller hands for his gloves

Good call with the Darth Maul gauntlets. Did you have to modify or switch out the pegs or was it a straight swap? If the latter, I'm going to purchase a pair of Maul gloves as soon as they pop up on eBay.

Thanks! It's a great sculpt, so it's easy to paint and make it look good. Really enjoyed painting these very much.

Hope I can paint more of Vimal's other sculptures in the future.
