I don't understand why the restock is so limited. Why 10 heads instead 40??

I'd imagine its because he doesn't do the painting for the heads himself they are outsourced to his resident painter Aeon. 10 of each release (about 10 different sculpts) is 100 sculpts Aeon needs to paint on top of the work she already does for the H&C sets. That's a lot of paintwork in a very short space of time for one person. There's just no way you could increase a work load like that by 300% and get away with it. I'd imagine that's the reason.

you got a serang van gogh? that's sweet. really cool piece. congrats. yeah i splurged on a joker custom and a butcher head+outfit. but would most likely grab the pikey if that's what comes. sat out on chigurgh tho. but bickle or pikey--as seem the most popular requests--might be too hard to pass up.

Hopefully after Anton I'll get a break too.

I have no idea if he limits the unpainted to just 10. If he does the only reason I can think of is to try and limit the chances of them falling into the hands of recaster's. Headplay have already recast his 2 fightclub heads and that scumbag Q has recast at least one if not more.

There could also be a much simpler economic reason for doing limited head releases each time--it builds up demand once they go out of stock, so folks who debate it and ultimately pass can't wait to pull the trigger the next time they are offered. Disney does this with their DVD releases. If these were always available to anyone who wanted them, folks wouldn't want them nearly as badly as they do.

joned and skooter, not sure if i'm allowed to say. think the seller wants to remain private. also, i believe the it was an unpainted sculpt and clothing set not an H&C. dont have it in hand yet. but i'm glad i've now managed to replace those two recasts i got way back.
here's hoping rainman's next release is justin timberlake from 'in time'.
