Unless it has air bubbles it's probably going to be hard to tell...... That's the problem with painted sculpts.

Yeah, gonna be very hard to say. Even with originals you may see slight differences in the casts, so assuming that existed, that wouldn't necessarily be enough to go on. I would judge the seller, and if you feel confident, then go for it. Actually looks a bit like a DF Studios paint job to me in that first pic.

Maybe ask for more pics? Especially of the underside of the sculpt to look for bubbles.

Yeah, gonna be very hard to say. Even with originals you may see slight differences in the casts, so assuming that existed, that wouldn't necessarily be enough to go on. He said he believes it was skiman who painted it and then said it "was special drilled for me from painter", so seems a little weird to not know who painted it but the painter special drilled it for you, plus I believe all rainman sculpts come pre-drilled right?

I own one from Rainman and the detail doesn't look the same....that one looks like its lacking some detail....then again it could be the paint job

Hmmm. Not being pre-drilled does sound weird. That looks like a flesh resin cast unless the painter painted the inside (which wouldn't make much sense). It looks like a similar color to the unpainted resin of the Dude on his site; but he looks like he uses all different color resins so it could very well vary. I guess it wouldn't make much of a difference but tomorrow I can check what color my painted Dude sculpt is inside

I'm assuming the deal must be good since you're still considering this sculpt and the restock is around the corner, right?

Well I really want a Dude figure, so I am also thinking about Moe's clothing set, which this auction has and comes with the sculpt, if I just wanted the sculpt ya Im with ya id just wait for the restock haha, but I'm also hesitant because I put out a comment on the dude thread that I'm looking for a dude H&C set or maybe even a full set so maybe someone might pm me who knows.

Last I checked they were hard to come by and expensive but the chrome pistol from the Blitzway Carlito set is 90% accurate

That was initially what I was hunting for but I've been checking for almost 6 months now and nothing

Date is marked. Hope everyone can all get what we're looking for.

As for the sculpt on eBay, that's a tough call. I'd be more inclined to grab the sculpt during the restock and just wait to find a Moe set on the FS boards here. I tend to trust these boards over eBay when it comes to custom stuff but that's not to say you aren't finding a legit source. Just my $.02.
