Exactly...if people want to use her for their projects then they have that right. Collect what want or quit...and Jacob's work is outstanding. You claim to appreciate the artist but you slam down one??

Everybody is passionate about this hobby, Jake does amazing work and phine, you produce some fantastic accessories. You both add a very great deal to this community. You are both very similar. Just take a step back and you will see that. We may annoy each other, we all annoy each other at some point, but without all of our input, we have no community.

I see everybody's side. I don't have to agree with their point, but no need to be directly nasty to someone here. Especially to the top contributors of the boards.

The fact is gunslingers clothing is not up to scratch. New tailor or not - that is the issue here. Their could have been a huge company that started using her and nobody can get clothes from her. Then what???? Let's all not forget everybody that uses her. Lee is not the only one. We have Scott and Johnny who use her for releases also.

Its Jacob *******, and your right I like realistic sculpt and accurate clothes that have revisions not just the first thing Yunsil craps out. Unlike Lee I don't use knock off ttm18 bodies with crap hands, oversized heads, and doll like paint apps that Lee has stated himself he paints 40 heads in 2 days.

Lee outsources most of his accessories and clothes just like anyone else does. Just keep clutching to those golden tickets as the hobby evolves past Rainman

40 heads in two days? As a painter of this stuff, I can't even fathom that. I couldn't possibly knock out that number in that amount of time and have my heart in every single one of them. But hey, that's just me.

I'll stick to not getting into personal attacks. It's not my style. I do, however think it's absurd attacking any of us who choose to commission Yunsil because we want the best. As said several times above, Lee, himself, had stated Yunsil is not his personal tailor. Yunsil has grown. Her company has grown as a business. For you guys to think that Yunsil doesn't have other things to do, that she'll beckon to Lee's every call, defies any kind of logic. Everyone has to wait, so why should this not pertain to you? Who you really need to be upset with is Lee, for not disclosing the the new tailor. Price is the same, but the tailor is a noob. I can't for one second understand how THAT doesn't upset you, but no... blame the "kitbashers" for throwing down top dollar on clothing runs for our DOLLS, giving a company business that we should ALL feel lucky to have. If she didn't make any money, well I guess she'd maybe give up, huh? Maybe she'd take her talents to south beach and make basketball jerseys. Who the hell knows. Just sick of the same old argument over and over again, always started by the same rude ass guys, and I think it's sinking in that soon enough there won't be a place for you. I just love how you guys treat us like bottom feeding leeches, ruining the hobby, when the truth is there is nothing cheap about getting a Yunsil set, and then paying a pro painter and getting top shelf accessories to go with it. There is a lot of passion - passion that you **** on, that goes into putting a character together, and sometimes it's a real slow burn, and that's a fact. There's plenty Lee hasn't made, and won't make, that I am fan of. I'm glad that if I've got the cash and the patience, I could make it happen myself. With that said, I seriously don't know how you can beat this horse any more. It's dead. It's stinking. It's got flies on it. Carry on, fellas.

This hobby is not about buying exclusively from one source. The beauty about this, is all that is offered from many.
That's called community...

I'm sure Lee will work out his business just fine.

Zero class ! An artist bashing another artist!

So many guys who have nothing to do with this release sharing opinions lol. At then end of the day I'm glad to see the passion is still boiling regardless who's side ur on. Jacobs comment tho. Rowdy and uncalled for. Guy makes a living off of painting Rainmans oversized heads and wants to come on his thread and bash the guy? Classless. I'm out tho, this ****s cancer

Yeah because your repeated attacks against an entire community isn't uncalled for?

Not taking any sides here, but I am very surprised at the quality issues with the clothing. Regardless of who Lee chose to use, his offerings are synonymous with top notch clothing. Yes, Yunsil is the best and I would never expect her to sit around and wait for Lee to decide when he is doing a project. Remember when he would only put out two releases a year? Obviously these are big shoes to fill if she is not available to meet Lee's schedule. Not his fault, not hers.

I was on the fence until the very end with this release. The main attraction for me was the awesome clothing that I always look forward to. Had I made the purchase, I wouldn't have assumed the clothing was by Yunsil, but I sure would have expected something extremely close, especially if nothing was mentioned. Now, we will need to verify in advance who is producing the clothing. I guess all good things eventually come to an end.

Pretty classless to call out the artist in the artist's OWN THREAD.

Also, Lee has been nothing but apologetic and open about this issue. He should have disclosed to customers that this run was not going to be Yunsil, but ah well at this point can't change the past.

Totally uncalled for to bash Lee though.

This thread is ruff, thanks! I bought 4 Deadpools

Woah this got crazy out of hand...

Anyway I am liking my figure, would love to see more pics from other people, enjoyed all the ones I've seen so far.

I'm just trying to wrap my head around Rainman being ****ted on by another Artist. Especially when Rainman is not even commenting on this thread. Did I miss something and he crapped on Jacob's work? Two talented artist I follow on instagram and admire their work. Who knew one had beef with the other?

I share the same concerns as Phine1 and Stiff Richards although I do appreciate the artistic talent of the rahmiers. With that said, people should really get back in their own Lanes and stop trying to set up their "lemonade" stand next to the other mans....all the while trying to figure out where he gets his lemons!....as we say in New York, STOP BITING!

I think Rainman and Yunsil both share the burden of fault here though for not really protecting their collaborative efforts and business resource/relationships. There is a golden rule and basic understanding in the garment industry with Maximum/Minimums. Basically if I want a round of fabric and you do too but we're both competing for the same factory to manufacture it....The business that places the largest order is prioritized as 1st and the list works down based on volume order. This is a basic understanding in the clothing industry. It's the reason why smaller clothing startups always are behind in their garment line seasons or why their size runs aren't always comparable to other outlets etc. I suspect Yunsil may not have considered the logistics of this yet, but if this is in fact the case then she should really start considering this because her current project priority list doesn't look very wise when you have a powerhouse like Artmaze on a waitlist.

During a conversation I had with Joe (Stiff Richards) a few weeks ago, I proposed that Joe should advise Lee (Rainman) to give Yunsil a list of 100 or so characters that his business partners at Artmaze will do. In essence it's basically "booking" these characters to be done by Artmaze at their discretion and according to their schedule. By booking these future projects, it will basically create an agreement that's hands off for other customizer's trying to compete for Yunsil's business and secure future clothing needs for the list of specific Rainman chosen characters. Artmaze is a fully operational, completely sustainable and well respected business with a proven business model. Artmaze needs to secure their business prospects with regard to their 1/6 department, if they want it to survive at this point, in order to continue to secure a tailor like Yunsil who has become a staple and fan favorite of Rainmans "purist" collector loyal customer base. In essence they need to keep her on Retainer.

Rainman/Artmaze have consistently produced 2-4 different character figures per year.....GUARANTEED! These are not just 20 piece figure "hit & run" projects here. We're talking DX sets, full sets, clothing sets, headsculpt & clothing sets. Rainman should ALWAYS be prioritized based on Volume alone; and at the very least because Yunsil was first introduced to the 1/6 world through RAINMAN....He gave her a platform to showcase her talents. If she does have Artmaze waitlisted on projects, then she does owe them a much higher measure of respect here, people!..And as a consequence really needs to reconsider and rethink the logistics of this moving forward. It does not make much business sense to put Artmaze on "Hold"....a guarantee on a slow nickel always beats a fast dime!

So you telling 2 overseas companies that have been in this business for probably most of their careers, what they should produce based on a list of your top 100 that you want????

And how about new films and characters in the future not on your 100 list!?!?
It may lock in the past, but it will leave them dead in the water for new releases. Doesn't sound like a very well thought out business plan???
And I am sure both would love for someone to dictate what they make - sounds reasonable to me...:cuckoo:
