Man, this is an odd one for me.

The character is great visually with the amazing payoff of the removed face, and of course Yul Brynner is about as iconic as it gets, but overall it's just a cowboy in a black outfit.

I mean, there certainly aren't any accessories. You can't make an "on fire" version. And personally, I'm pretty sick of the whole "miniature bust" thing in lieu of great accessories which used to be a Rainman hallmark.

For the first time in a long time I'm really curious as to how this one is going to come out. That Brynner scowl is going to be crucial because aside from the sculpt and the removable face, there's just not much else to this entire figure, or even the movie itself.

I wonder how the editions are going to work for this. The bust is very complicated for a full set exclusive piece but the damaged head is a more DX-y sort of an extra.

hmmm....as on board i was for this one....i just don't see me ordering this....just don't see it....looks great...also great likeness....also one of those movies that i liked growing up but the most memorable part, for me, in this movie was the detachment of the face and to have it in a bust...well...don't know...just doesn't mesh with me....i'm sure it will be a great side piece but i think it would have been a better presence if it was actually part of the figure...very on the fence about this one...

Agreed. The Detachment of the face should have been part of the Full Set figure. I really like the Burnt Face DX option! I'm happy Lee is offering the bust Separate. In for the Bust! :rock

I agree. I too wish the face-off robot sculpt was part of the main figure.

The bust is still very cool though - a lot of work for Lee.

Same here - it's great-looking and I might have been in if the face-off was part of the sculpt even if it wasn't totally seamless when attached or was a second sculpt option.
