How about this choice for a new years figure? Not sure about you fellas but she's always had a special place in my heart since childhood. Caught the bluray the other night and I was a kid all over again. Seeing Audrey I know Rainman would kill this. Basket and Toto! Ruby Red Slippers! Maybe it could be a series and we could get the whole gang as well. Sick Sick Sick! Who's with me! Rainman does OZ!

Rainman really should try some older classic characters similar to his Audrey Hepburn. I am sure a young 1950's Marlon Brando from Streetcar Named Desire or On The Waterfront would sell out fast.

I still disagree. The choices have been Rainman choices. It's no coincidence that he
happens to be a fan of these characters the same way millions of others are! Anton
without a doubt was a Rainman personal, just look at how that thing is turning out.

If he were really pushed to do characters from his customers, wouldn't we have a Travis Bickle Yet? It's common knowledge this figure has been burning in the minds of many fans. I think people are committed to a Rainman Bickle at this point.
You are telling me Rainman even knew about Pee Wee Herman before he was suggested the character? I highly doubt it.
Pee Wee is a character majority in Asia have no idea about. I dont think his movie even made it to this side... you can maybe ask him how much he loved the character or even knew about it before making it.

Rainman's independent choices have diminished in proportion over the years. Sure he has to study the character and get into it to do it, but that doesnt mean it was his idea at all and what he had wanted to do. Fan choices help make decisions and more importantly help show what figures will be good commercially for an artist. He had once told me he would do Patrick Bateman if there are enough people wanting it which should tell you how much emphasis he gives on what people want too.

If you ask me who only does his own and fans have no say at it... that would be Serang... Rainman is a lot more 'democratic' in that way...

Dorothy would be amazing !. I'm not sure I'd buy the figure since it would stick out in my collection like a sore thumb but those shoes , the outfit , the wicker basket and Toto as an accessory would be incredible to see and would fit Rainman's style fantastic.

DX could be a black and white version. :)

An alternative DX could be a munchkin just like Wonka and the Oompa Loompa. :rock:lol

Does this really matter in the end? Rainman will make what he wants to make. Do we have influence on this forum? Yes, no doubt. I mean I'm glad we have an outlet to speak with Rainman and he can feel his fans passion for their favorite characters. Sure it might impact some decision making but, it ensures if there's enough fan interest the figure has a chance of being made down the line.

Serang is not past taking suggestions as the upcoming Prince and potential Hook indicates he likes fan feedback as well. Its the future of this hobby if you ask me. It's just many people were not up on this hobby before, so their voices weren't being heard at an earlier time to influence back then. Its just the nature of the beast and I just don't think its that bad.

Your feeling me brother!:1-1: I'm really loving this idea more by the minute. I really think she deserves that Rainman touch!

Im not saying its bad or judging it, what Im trying to say (to turbo.vs.ozone specifically) is that honestly if you believe that the characters than Rainman has been making over the last few years are completely out of his own accord, you are closing your eyes to the truth. Times have changed and so has Rainman's method of choosing projects.

The guy Id like to see is Tin Man... he was my fav when I first saw the film in one of the school screenings... films like Sound of Music, Oz, Wonka and some more of these classic 'kiddie films' used to be screened once a year.

Here's my top 10 in no particular order. These just need to be touched by the man. No doubt in my mind.:peace

1.Dorothy (Judy Garland)-The Wizard of OZ
2 & 3.Pedro DePacas and the Man
(Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong)-Up In Smoke
4.**** Tracy (Warren Beatty)-**** Tracy
5.Travis Bickle (Robert Deniro)-Taxi Driver
6.Prince Akeem (Eddie Murphy)-Coming to America
7 & 8.Walter Sobchak and Jesus Quintana (John Goodman and John Tuturro)-The Big Lebowski
9 & 10. Vincent Vega and Jules Winfield (John Travolta and Samuel Jackson)- Pulp Fiction.

Put it in your top ten if you think he should make it :dunno
Not saying its going to be made, but put it out there and see if it has a snowball effect.

I am completely neutral in compiling this list. My goal is to see a compiled list of "true wants" and not people just riding along for the wave on one character.

Not singling you out Joel. Just want to illustrate my main objective in compiling this list. This list is not even intended to force Rainman's hand. I just want to do my part in servinf my 1/6 community :)

C'mon man can you quit with these rhetorical questions? Its getting old and I pretty much stopped visiting most threads you are actively involved in. Can you leave this one alone?

Nah, that is cool. To be truthful, I would struggle to put together a top 10 list :rotfl :rotfl

I think my last few posts were specifically addressed to turbo about a point being discussed between me, PCK and turbo. If you want to add to it, you are welcome.
If you want to single one out to pull it out of context, you can go right ahead, or maybe if its bothering you so much, just use the ignore function... :wave

or if you can be kind enough to read my explanation to mike, you may understand what I mean
