Axe, your giving me a headache. I'm not even going to go on because you talking crazy right now! Just do me one favor,

STAY AWAY FROM TRAVIS BICKLE/TAXI DRIVER!!!

Don't go trying to outsource this!

Im not saying its bad or judging it, what Im trying to say (to turbo.vs.ozone specifically) is that honestly if you believe that the characters than Rainman has been making over the last few years are completely out of his own accord, you are closing your eyes to the truth. Times have changed and so has Rainman's method of choosing projects.

I didn't want my post to spring an argument or get dragged out as I first said. But I'm glad you agree with me Axe. And my post wasn’t directed at Turbo whatsoever. I’m just saying that a lot of people in general tend to think that all of his creations are born in his heart and I feel that people are being blind if you think that. It’s not a shot at anyone but I just think it’s important to see it for the truth.

And I'm not saying it's a bad thing AT ALL! There is nothing but good that can come out of custom artists listing to the voice of the crowd. I think the custom part of this hobby is changing in that way and it will prove to be a good thing as we'll see long overdue characters come to life because of it. I like when a guy like Velvet says “So what do you guys want me to do next”. Not that every artist should handle it that way but it’s nice to see that some would. Like Mags said, even Serang would entertain Hook and Prince and that was thru fan requests. It’s a good thing and shouldn’t be looked at as controling artists… more like inspiring them

If Dorothy gets made before a certain cabbie I will cry.

WORD UP! If that's the way it goes down save me some of these:

If I had to do a Rainman top 10 (not a custom figure top 10, but a top 10 of figures I would like Rainman specifically to tackle), as of today, it would probably be this:

10) Frank from Once Upon a Time in the West (Henry Fonda)
9) Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn)
8) Axel Foley from Beverly Hills Cop 2 (Eddie Murphy)
7) Hunter S. Thompson (Depp)
6) Kikuchiyo (Toshiro Mifune)
5) Liberty Valence (Lee Marvin)
4) John McClane (Bruce Willis)--unfortunately, I think weathering is unavoidable on this one
3) Sam Spade (Bogart)
2) Walter Sobcheck
1) ASH FROM EVIL DEAD 2 (BRUCE MOTHER ****ING CAMPBELL)

Was gonna put Inspector Clouseau (Peter Sellers) on there, but I think that would be better as an Iminime project. I left Bogart on there, though, because top notch tailoring would be appreciated for such an important character.

Mike, of course public opinion is considered, afterall it is a business but Rainman only considers it and is not SWAYED by it as Axe would suggest. I dont believe any of that so-called Patrick Bateman conversation he has with "Rainman" because people more than about 50 that I PERSONALLY know of wanted Bateman.

Look at Plainview. The MAJORITY wanted Charcoalsuit, and y'all got Duck Hunting season! It's still an amazing figure, Rainman ultimately had an idea of what he wanted to go with and it happened.

Axe your trying to talk to me like I don't know the deal, but when Wonka happened I was one of the people along with Magnus, Shorty, Commtech and a few others directly involved in pushing for the Oompa and it happened, but Rainman ULTIMATELY wanted to do it in the end.

Yes but he wouldn't have done it without your suggestions. He's not going to do anything he's completely against, obviously. But our requests are definitely more than "considered"

And I believe that there would have been a very different look to Plainview if there was more charcoal talk early on. We started that talk after the Quail hunt gear was announced. At that point it was to late for our opinions to matter much I guess. But if everyone was talkin' charcoal suit instead of oily version (which I never thought was a reality because I don't think that's RM's style, going back to out weathering convo) from the beginning, I think there would have been a different end result.

Anyway, really didn't want to drag this out and this could get touchy like Politics and Religion talk. And I have too many brothers here that I don't want to butt heads with.

But my initial point was that are voices are heard and wish lists do bare life. It’s proven. That's all I'm trying to get across. So it's important to be careful when we’re clamoring about our wants and wishes. REMEMBER we are only getting 4 precious gems per YEAR from the Man.

Hmm you dont believe it, so in other words you are saying its a lie. Well it'll be a little rude on my side to show personal chats on a public forum, so Ill take Rainman's permission and see if he allows me to show it to you and PM you the screenshot. :wave

Lets just say it doesnt matter how Rainman chooses his characters, what matters is which one he does :lecture

I would like to see him redo his GBU line simply because I think he can do them better with his current skills and I really want them, specially Tuco

Look I don't need your PM's or screenshots. Spare me! This is wishlist thread, so drop your coin in the fountain and keep it moving.

Just out of curiosity, do you even OWN a Rainman figure? Do you help to support this man's work?

Mike, I gotta school you on somthing bro.....all of these wishlists requests that "we" think we're the first to have......Have already been suggested before! There is nothing new about some of these character suggestions. This isn't a poll, it's a Wishlist thread, a place where you can share really creative ideas about characters etc. Top Ten lists change all the time so by default it doesn't make sense to create one. I appreciate when people make suggestions that we haven't even thought of yet, and sadly there are only a handful of people who have really thought out of the box when it came to character suggestions, regardless of whether we like them or not.

Mike? I gotta leave you alone on Dorthy Brother, :dunno
But if Oz is your thing, so be it. I definitely see it as a Rainman possibility, great peice for the kids to enjoy.

Just give me BICKLE, and y'all can keep the Rest.

I'm there for Bickle my brother you know this! There's something about that Dorothy that's fueling my fire! Don't care if its before or after, I just really think it can be something crazy!

It better be after.... :lol

Loving the votes for Travis though. He must be high in the results.
Again I would have no interest in Dorothy but can see the appeal.

what about a jean paul belmondo from 'pierrot le fou' or 'a bout de souffle'(breathless).

and would absolutely love an ALAIN DELON FROM 'LE CIRCLE ROUGE' OR 'LE SAMOURAI'!!!!!!!!!

Just to officially get my top ten in, in no particular order.

I had a lengthy discussion with axe about this ages ago, but I personally don't like the idea of trying to overtly lobby Rainman, which is why I do prefer to think of this thread as a genuine "wishlist" as well, where we just toss ideas up. If others want to try and do something more organized, power to them, but I don't want much to do with it. Having said that, I do like top 10 lists. They are fun. And the fact that they change makes them interesting to do and look back on IMO.

Funny a Hot Toys top 5 list I did a few years ago had Reeve Superman, Marty Mcfly, and a decent Hudson (from Aliens) sculpt on there, and I'm very close to having all of those in the collection. Bogart was also on that list. Sadly, no one seems to care much about what is one of the most iconic, important, cool, and bad-ass actors ever to walk the planet. I guess he was born 50 or 60 years too early.

ALAIN DELON FROM . . . 'LE SAMOURAI'!!!!!!!!!
Definition of "cool" right here. Ryan Gosling wishes he was this guy.
