I have seen the remake The Thing...it was "meh" OK. I haven't seen the Kurt Russell's Thing yet...I will and if I like it I could go for getting a MacReady...I need to collect more Horror Figures...

I actually liked the remake, and if you watch the original you'll see that the remake storyline kinds plays on it happening before the Original film.!The remake ends with the infected dog running and the original begins with the dog running. I like how clever they paid homage to the classic that way.

Please do yourself the favor and watch it. Gotta have a Kurt Russell in the collection and it's gotta be a MacReady.

Ohh I didn't know that!! I was wondering what the h**l were they going to do with that dog running around when I first saw the remake. That explains it now...I got to check out the classic. Got it in my watch list and will watch it soon! Thanks for explaining.

Yeah the more recent 'The Thing' was intended to be a prequel to the 1982 movie from what I recall (never bothered to watch it). 'John Carpenter's The Thing' was actually the remake. 'The Thing From Another World' (1951) being the original.

Probably the best remake ever

Yep. Seems strange, when you consider how the term 'remake' has basically become a byword for 's***e' in the horror genre nowadays, that they actually used to be capable of not only matching but surpassing the original back in the day: The Thing, Invasion Of The Body Snatchers, The Fly, The Blob.

Has it been confirmed that Oldman's Dracula is to be RM's next release then? I know there was a recent thread for The Thing that seemed to garner a fair amount of interest.

Yes it was confirmed on Rainman's FB wall...Gary Oldman's Dracula is next to make and it'll be the last one for THIS year.

I agree with you PopCultKid and I can definitely see RM tackling this.

If I can create a diorama from the ending of "Saw" then it's an instant buy for me.

HELL YES!! I would be DOWN for JIGSAW and the muppet on tricycle!!

JIG-SAW! JIG-SAW! JIG-saw... aw forget it. It's just us

Another character with all the elements to make a sick 1/6 piece and he gets little attention. A real metal retractable blade would be awesome, the pig head mask would be insane and Billy on the trike would be epic. But nobody cares :eek:hbfrank: :lol

Come on! What about Gage & Church??!!

I talked to Rainman and I asked him how he comes to making his decision on what figure to create...he said he enjoys listening to people's opinions/suggestions then makes his own final decision based on how much interest was garnered and what figure HE wanted to do next.

It is indeed too bad that not enough people appreciated the Saw franchise. IMO, it was one of the successful franchise made and every installment kept me coming back for more.

Sorry guys, I'm a Saw shunner. Only saw the first Saw and never wanted to see another Saw after that....and actually wished I could unsee the first Saw that I saw.

:lol I enjoyed the twist of the first one.....but anything after that.... go kill yourself :rotfl
That whole franchise was corny, but to each his own...right!

It better be "Oldman" Dracula and not that boring Victorian Era Dracula. Major L if he doesn't do the classic Robe version.

Rumor has it.....and this is a strong Rumor, but Quentin Tarantino wants to do The Invasion of the Body Snatchers from the perspective of the body snatchers. Said he's gonna move into horror after his western trio and Kill Bill 3 are done.

He also commented in an interview about a long lost Nightmare on Elm Street script that's was shelved for years but it's become a cult Masterpiece for those who've read it. The plot is somthing along the lines of a Freddy Krueger is now the victim where the kids aren't afraid of Freddy anymore and they purposefully/recreationally induce sleeping drugs to go and taunt him, torture him, beat on him, beat him up for fun......until Freddy finds a way to turn the tables making him the hero. He made a light comment about going with the script and just adding a bit of his own touch to it.

Uh oh you might not be happy...the picture he posted on his FB wall was that Victorian Era Dracula. Could be a part of the DX and FAS package like he did with Regan by going with version 1 and version 2?

I hope so but that's a different sculpt and he usually doesn't do different sculpts. Victorian Era? Nah.....Rainman needs to think that over.

First of all that Robe costume design was by Eiko Ishioka.....I repeat..... The costume design GOD EIKO ISHIOKA. If Lee or Yunsil don't know the importance of this costume design, they need to get familiar.

The only costumes that matter from Eiko Dracula.
