This would be awesome!

I actually suggested the Bridges Rooster to rainman last time we spoke but he said he prefers classic westerns really.
That's cool, but in my opinion, as good as it is, I would not consider Tombstone to be a "classic" either. Both are great contemporary westerns, as is the Proposition, the remake of 3:10 to Yuma, even Robert Rodriguez's el Mariachi series. There are scores of classic westerns, it's a judgment call in many cases, but I wouldn't consider a 20 year old movie one of those unless you are talking about Unforgiven (which really stacks up with any western ever made IMO).

Of course, all that really matters here is what Rainman considers "classic" :lol

I have a huge Coen Bros. bias by the way, so I automatically consider anything they release a "modern classic" :lol

I do think Fargo and the Big Lebowski are, at least, destined to be all-time film classics. As are probably several others in their library.

My guess is that he gets so bombarded by PMs and e-mails requesting other characters (and putting them further ahead in his mind) that the more obvious choices don't necessarily happen as quickly as you might expect. But as more folks get their "grail" pieces out of the way, and Bickle gets higher up various lists, it seems more and more likely that Bickle would be one of the next figures. . .assuming Rainman is interested.

I think Jack Torrance would be way up more folks' lists if we didn't get that awesome unlicensed version a couple years ago, but I would still personally much rather see Rainman tackle him than Bickle. The Subway figure is great for what it is, but it isn't exactly a top of the line, high end figure.

Not something I would buy and certainly not what many would consider Iconic, but you can't deny it would make an awesome 1/6 figure, imagine all the display possibilities!

..and the dx could be an evil gadget sculpt!:yess:

Cool ya, but too minor a character, it would be ____ed up getting a figure of him before any of the films main characters, in leon he was the main villain so that was understandable.

C'mon Cal... U just suggested Broderick Gadget, c'mon fam, let's focus. Gary Oldman Drexil in True Romance is STRONG. Many before me have suggested it. I'm certifying it!

I did not really suggest Gadget, I was just stating it would be a cool figure with all the gadgets and everything!:lol

I dunno, I think we pretty much got our psycho Oldman with the Stansfield figure!:dunno I just don't think he is strong enough a character to represent the movie in a collection, figures of Slater and Arquette would be miles better and a hell of a lot more recognizable.

Well it is a wishlist so....
I'm betting you money people will remember Oldmans performance or the "Eggplant scene" before anything else in true romance!

Let's get Focused... it's $800

I personally wouldn't have picked Oldman from the Professional if I had had my druthers from the beginning. . .he's just a guy in a bland kind of suit, y'know? I do know the performance was memorable, but still.

How would this be for a 2-pack?

If it were just one or the other, I would rather the actual historical character. But if we were to get both, I would prefer Oldman as both :lol

You know sometimes I wonder wether Rainman ever even visits this thread. Honestly if this thread is to be taken seriously I suggest a proper Poll be made everytime before a Rainman release and then voting happens. Once one figure is chosen. The other characters can compete for the next poll, adding a new populr character everytime.

I mean everytime you come here, you see guys just post pics of visually appealing stuff or half the characters they actually wouldnt put $800 on. So how about making things a little organised?

The way I see it, there is serious interest at the moment on two figures:

Travis Bickle and Patrick bateman. Either some of you guys can you know focus on what you really want. Because honestly In that way this thread can actually be beneficial in ways. Plus maybe avoid all the unnecessary fiasco that happened with guys accusing Rainman of listening to his 'favourite fans' or yielding to constant hammering of PMs by certain members to get their own grail.

I know initially there was a Poll made where Marty came to fruition. But David lost out Narrowly. Maybe this time members can be a little more patient and you know the top two most popular be considered (if their votes are close enough) they may be solicited to rainman as the next two fans want etc etc

Just my opinion to make this thread a little more meaningful and fulfilling instead of being everyman's scrapbook for posting pics :wave

I agree :goodpost: ( again I was just stating that gadget would look good..nothing more).

Nothing against anyone, I too have been guilty of posting so many random pics :lol from Frank Drebin to President Harris (whom I probably wouldnt spend $700 on actually on Drebin I might :D) But my main want is Bateman considering his iconic status as well as the fact that Rainman has a history of making 'evil/murdering psychos' etc etc

You are totally right, many of us just suggest anything we can come up with without actually thinking about the money!:lol, only two figures of the few I ever suggested I would actually buy.

The only inspector gadget I would want would be from the original cartoon and not that abomination of a film!

Would buy a Drexl and a Clarence for sure.
