don't take this personally, teddy, i know you might.... but the problem with narrowing the list is people always seem to narrow it to include the things they want, and you're back to square one.

for example, a while back there was significant interest for snake plissken, verbal, raoul duke, omar little, walter sobchak, austin powers. these only come to mind because they were ones i had interest in (which again shows the problem of compiling an unbiased narrowed down list) but i'd say some of those had at least as much if not more interest than mickey and jack at least.

and don't get me wrong, i would love a mickey... but my post is meant to illustrate the bias that comes out in the "i think these are most popular so far" choices. to get a list people will be able to vote on would require a poll in itself :lol

No I agree with you. I am just not sure how you get a list of 5 without starting somewhere. I also would love a Verbal & Duke. I just remember alot of interest being shown for the ones I listed. I am not saying that should be the 5. eace

Verbal Kint/Kaiser Soze
William Foster "D-Fens"

Top 3 are Definates; last 2 should seriously be considered.Michael Douglas and Kevin Spacy created 2 of the greatest characters in cinema.

I definitely want a Bateman, but I'm a little biased towards Adams Christian Bale
likeness. An iminime offering of this character would make much more sense since it would sell 50+ figures instantly with all the Bale fans.

looking back, it seems jack torrance, patrick bateman, travis bickle, anton chigurh should be on the list. personally, i'd probably only get the outfit set for a couple of those since i have pretty good customs already. but they have been popular for a long time.

the 5th one might be a little more difficult given the spread of interest. i'd be happy with it being verbal, mickey, raoul duke or walter. maybe we can increase the size of the list? i guess it doesn't have to be a 5. maybe 7 or 8? gives rainman more choice too. or if he decides to do something completely different, gives him more scope for inspiration.

Good call. Somebody should start the poll rolling. It can't help since I would imagine Mr Plainview is well under way now.

forgot about d-fens! see, another character that was a pretty popular choice. think it might be a good idea whenever someone posts a character that has a decent response, to add the name to a list on page 1 or something. or someone keep one going. i propose army - he has that military discipline going for him :lol

It's true. The list has to start somewhere. We can spend months talking about who should be on the list before we even vote And there's really no reason to make it more than 5 because that just complicates things; we're trying to narrow it down. Sure this list can be revised 10 times, but it shouldn't. It's 5 of the most popular choices with nothing being too left field so these are all probably instant sell outs. I think this list is even solid enough to say that these are the next 5 figs that should be made (Well maybe something left field like Prince Akeem or So Nuff should get stuck in the middle to break it up). The only question is in what order

... but will it be better than this beaut?

I know it's a pipe dream but I've been wanting this crew for a long time. But where would it end? I'd need at least Pink, Slater, Dawson, O'Bannion, and Wooderson! F__k Mitch though :lol
