Thats a bold opinion Snake, but its not one I am willing to object to. Maybe it is maybe its not. I just want to throw the numbers out there for all to see. Not only to bring to light the top 3, but also the bottom three in a top 10.

You have the inside track so if you say Bickle should be next then I think a lot of people wil be happy including myself. :)

:lol

My post was in jest only bud! Really appreciate the consolidated results and, if he wants it, would really help Rainman to assess demand. :)

not that i'm still definite about wanting him, but if ringo never comes i'll be pretty pissed. the fact he was coming as a partner piece completely influenced doc's simpler choice of outfit. if ringo isn't going to be made, we should have got a more definitive doc outfit.

Completely agree. One of the reasons I sold mine is because I no longer see Ringo happening and, was wanting to display them together, or just one iconic Doc.

I want everything on the standing top 5. Depending on the outfit choice, Mickey may be the most visually interesting. But these guys didn't make it to the top because they're shelf poppers. They're all just powerful characters/performance from popular/cult classic movies that a lot of people want to rep in their collection.

I'm all for Bickle next. DX with a full hair HS would rock. Bateman is prob the most important to me on the list. I always said I'd rather see Rainman do him as opposed to Iminime because RM wold kill the accessories. But because the simplicity of Bateman's outfit, I'd hope it would be made up for in accessories. He should be the sickest DX man in suit figure ever. Walkman, briefcase, axe, nailgun, chef's knife, video tape. A gun and sunglasses can fit in there if you want to get really kooky but not necessary. DX should be blood splattered HS and raincoat.

Only figure Id buy, Patrick Bateman although not very sure about the Bale likeness Rainman can achieve... and the bar has been raised very high indeed.
Echoicing what PopCultKid said, Id like to see this as a collaboration between (if possible) Adam and Rainman just like Marty McFly was... Rainman can do the clothing and accessories... while Adam, only the sculpt

Im sure it can be done as Adam has ready Bale sculpts, all thats needed to be modded are the hairstyles

Now we're talking! A collabo would be perfect. Adam's the man for the job but would he offer a full run with Rainman? If not there may be someone else that can fill that spot :idea

Anxiously waiting on the Zeno/Rainman/Kato (Drive) collab. That figure is probably one of the most anticipated judging from those flawless wip pics. Kato denim + Rainman Jacket & Accessories + Zeno sculpt! An Adam/ Rainman collab would be great.

well that sucks :mad::mad::mad::mad:

that outfit feels like a cop out now. instead of going for something that really would have required some skill, feels like we got the easier way out :dunno

What collab with Zeno/RM/Kato? I'm out if the loop on that one.

I guess I'm not a big enough fan of the flick(hence why I didn't buy Doc), but I'm still trying to figure out why everyone is so unhappy with him. I thought the sculpt was awesome. And even if the red vest outfit was the popular choice, this get up looks cool to me :dunno. Killer accessories too. But like I said I guess bigger fans see it differently.

the sculpt is awesome, but the outfit isn't really reminiscent of the character and he only wore it for a small portion of the film. much like the charcoal suit debate for plainview. what's annoying is that rainman recognized the overwhelming desire for the more classic (and complex) outfit but said he made his choice based on the fact a companion ringo from that scene was coming. i hate to think it, but if ringo isn't happening then there's a niggling doubt that the outfit choice was made just to make life easier. i'm not unhappy with the figure at all, just the fact that it could have been an amazing standout piece and it's not.

this whole DX trend is pulling me out of the rainman thing too. for $800 for a full figure, i feel something like a shotgun or extra head should be included with the full set. it's $800 for ____'s sake. this new "exclusive" elitist $1000 tier just feels like a reason to push the price up and include less in the standard full set. i know i'm going to be massively chewed out for this, but it's how i feel. and those thinking "you're just saying that coz you can't afford it", you might be right. but it's more like i'm seeing less and less value in these offerings. even the free shipping is gone now. small thing but it's part of the trend. rant over.

I think Rainman was persuaded to change up his schedule based on the Pee Wee push and Plainview support. It seemed like he was on track to do it until things changed. The Doc is pretty strong on it's own actually and although I passed on it, the duster outfit is a pretty great reference to the character because fans of that film remember that Ringo duel. The more technical elegant outfit would have really been much more impressive though.

Eighth, I also agree with you on value vs price. While the work is great, I don't think Rainman is making any real advances in this "Art". The Plainview shotgun doesn't even uncock, and I doubt it's because it can't be done. I mean look at Lucy and the Pee Wee bike! That's why it has been coming off as lazy offerings as of late. I may not really understand how difficult it is to do some of this but I haven't seen anything fresh
recently. Betomatali always pushes the possibilities of figures and accessories. He made an amazing shotgun that uncocks and the ammo can be removed. I mean this is stuff a Major company like Hottoys is doing, and he's held his own with a corporate company. Unbelievable creativity from Beto and Lu, and certainly less people working on this stuff than Rainmans team.

glad you see my point of view and it didn't just come across as a crazy rant :) i'm not really feeling that pushing oneself mindset that i've seen in past rainman releases. and compared to say serang or beto, i'm not feeling the ingenuity either. or the prices. but it's all subjective and personal and i'm sure i'm one of the very few who feel this way.

I mean look at Lucy and the Pee Wee bike!

There's a Pee Wee Bike? Who made it/who's selling it (them?)

Sorry for the questions, but I hadn't seen this, and the search function isn't helpful with the results.

Thanks in advance for any info.

@8th: yea I'm with you. And you're on point with everything you said. Especially the similarities between the Doc and Plainview outfit debate. I guess the bigger fans had high expectations for him but to me, he is a stand out piece. As an outsider looking in I'll say I feel like you got more with Doc for the same $$(and free shipping) as Plainview. Meaning even if the outfit was basic in color, the holster and guns were killer. The striped undershirt was accurate(from what I remember) and has an interesting cut and those cool loops to hold the suspenders. Plus the cool trench and scarf, etc. For the same $$ Plainview has a black vest and white shirt that are as basic as it gets(way better boots though :lol).

And I don't think it's too much to ask to see a little more included for $800-$1000 too. Technically these aren't super small runs of 10 like Beto's. There's 50-60 sets of accessories sold on average. I thought the general idea was produce more to have it cost less. But what do I know. I just feel like an extra accessory or two should be able to be done at this price point.
