Just got back from Watching Killer Joe for a second time......
This Film is BALLS TO THE ____ING WALL! I don't know whether to call it Trailer Trash Horror or Trailer Trash Drama or Trailer Trash Comedy! Jesus' what a great cast of
Actors. I'm officially annointing this character a Rainman WANT!

I wish I could get a Dottie, an Ansel, a Chris the whole cast deserve the treatment.
Emile Hirsch, Juno Temple, Gina Gershon(So Awesome), Thomas Hayden(So Awesome), McConaughey they all killed their performances! So funny! One of the
greatest Endings Ever! William Friedkin & Tracy Letts really gave Quentin Tarantino a
run for his money on this one!! Rainman's gotta get a copy of this Film ASAP!

She was not 12. She was thinking about the time she had that boyfriend in class and she was 12 years old then. My guess is she is late teens or early twenties.

Here's a link to a interview that gives a really great analysis of the movie from the actors themselves. I like the part when they start talking about the similarities of this film with certain themes in the Shinning and Mean streets! Good stuff. Let it marinate. I also see themes very similar to Natural born Killers (Mickey/Mallory -Killer Joe/Dottie)
relationship. The "Mind your Business" theme McCounaghay is talking about rings bells bro, so true what he said and how he compared that to the Shinning yell as loud as you want, no one "will" hear you! Not getting help because people Mind their business in places where violence is so common is almost the same as a Shinning scenario, being stuck in the middle of nowhere screaming for help but nobody hears you!
Alot of stuff going on in this film. The whole idea that Joe is really like a Grim Reaper coming to cast judgement and punishment on these people for their sins/choices, the last supper before the judgement. Alot of subliminal SHI t going on in this flick. It's William Friedkin bro.
