i've been thinking about woff's fountain suggestion. i was imagining how amazing it would look in a huge fishbowl-like diaorama on the middle of a coffee table. pretty impressive. or a conquistador, meditator, doctor trio from the movie.

Just messing with you man. I think I told you before the best way to do it is to click on each members profiles and see their previous posts. There you can see all the threads they are a part of. All of us are all pretty much in the same threads. We fight, argue, accuse, complain, but in the end we all love each other and follow each other from one thread to another :lol

It's cool bro We know your hot on the hobby and you want to catch up overnight. There's a lot of info to soak in here brother. Personally, I've been lurking here since last October and didn't even start posting till late March, I think. I did a lot of reading to get the lay of the land and figure out who's who, and what's what before I started posting. The search feature sucks but it does work to a point, it's just not refined. When I get some time tomorrow, at some point I'll PM you some info on where to get started, and easier ways of how to find what you're looking for :duff. It should help you get up to speed

@eighth, completely agree with what you have said. While I love Doc, I was hoping for the classic red vest outfit. And it really annoys me how something as important as the shotgun is limited to full sets, and an extra sculpt which only has a different hairstyle costs an extra $200.

I might only be buying an unpainted Planview sculpt, because the temptation to bash the charcoal suit outweighs the the temptation to own rainmans outfit.

Blitz, if I had it in me to be a real f__kin' animal and break up a Rainman set, I'd sell you that frigin shotgun. I'm never gonna display him with it. I'm still trying to figure out why some people are so bent on this gun, but to each their own. I'm in the process of trying to get some custom accessories/extras done that I feel really pertain to this character: pens, watch chain, tie, metal whiskey flask. Maybe his little notebook thingy too

I was tempted to alter my top ten list, but figured I'd ask if they'd even have been done before messing with it.

Have Daniel Larusso, Johnny Lawrence, Mr. Miyagi and/or John Kreese from the Original Karate Kid ever been done?

(And by done, I would mean done at the level of a Rainman or comparable artist)

Just realizing how great a display would be from the final tournament scene with Miyagi in the background.

:lol:rotfl I dare you too. But seriously, it pertains to the character more than a bloody flaming oil stick, so there's no reason why it can't be included in the outfit set. It's a major part of his 'look' if you will. THAT is why people are so bent on the gun.

Until I'm 100% pleased with a Rainman release like I was with Doc (outfit choice aside) I am going to continue to pass. It might not make a difference but there must be a reason a full set Pee Wee was available days after they started shipping.

I got sucked in big time by the movie/character. There probably won't be another D.P. offering to this standard for a long time or maybe ever. So I'll take what I can get. If I can source the extras that I'm looking for then I'll be really happy with this fig. Hopefully I'll be able to bash another to a high standard with the DX and extra painted heads.

I know the gun goes with the scene specific look but you already know what I think about that :lol I feel displaying him with a shotgun is as defining as displaying Doc or Blondie with a feather duster. They were "cowboys". He wasn't. But of course to each they're own. Not trying to open up the debate again, but that's the story I'm stickin' to :wink1:

Plus he was a s__tty shot anyway. He took like 3 shots and came up with nothing. Now H.W on the other hand, THAT boy had his game face on. We should have H.W. handle the hunting and let Plaiview stick to conniving, conquering and drilling
