Okay, no recasting of the heads, just to be clear.

If you want heads go to Rocco, if you want Shoulder Pads and accessories go to CrimsonBob.

I can cast more, contact me directly if you are still looking. This was a group commission, so the price is the same for everyone on the boards who paid the original rates. I put way more time and energy in this project then any other, so they are still for sale. Pm me if you are looking for a Dredd and Anderson.

Thanks,
Rocco

Thanks for protecting our investment, Rocco.

That doesn't make any sense to me. What was the point of having a group commission and a cut off date if people can just saunter in and get a cast whenever they feel like it ?

I kinda agree with this.
As part of a group commissions the sculpt should be limited.

I think its bull $ h i t . and I intentionally included the $ sign. I see some new "buyers" getting a sculpt then deciding they don't want it after copies have been made and sold on ebay. Just watch its just a matter of time.

Thanks for sending them out by the way Seb. :)

The group commission was a lost to me, for my sculpting time. I need to make up the difference with the time it took I made less then a $1 a day. What would it matter to anyone who bought a casting in the past? You received a Head casting of a figure you wanted. I don't see the problem, everyone wins. Old members and New members pay the same price. No discounts, and they are good for as long as the mold is.
If you are looking to sell your finished piece down the road for more money you put into your figure, you can still put what ever price you want on your artistry.

I have to agree with Rocco, everyone is paying the same price and its his creation to sell as he wishes. We know other boardies want a set so why refuse them 1?

I see both sides... unfortunately while I would love the exclusivity of it, it is Rocco's work.

I originally agreed to the group commission to always leave the door open for anyone on the boards who want it. This is the only group commission I have offered, so it was a testing the waters project. I had no idea it was going to take months to do between all the input, so I need to sell more to make it worth sculpting, my time and energy is worth a lot to me. people like the sculpts, so I will still offer them.

I've been in a situation where I have missed out on sculpts, or they were only sold painted or as a full figure and regretted it. In that case I'd be all for this. It's not like they are recasts, Rocco is selling them himself. I know it's nice to have something other people don't have, but even with selling casts, we each will paint and cloth them differently. So each figure will be unique to the customizer and still one of a kind. The only issue I'd have is if they were recast and ended up on ebay, and I think Rocco would have issues with that too.

I wasn't disputing that it was your sculpt and that you could do with it what you want. A lot of us were led to believe that the run was only for those listed. I just didn't want to see it end up on ebay and then another talented sculptor leaves us due to copies of his/her work being made available without his / her consent.

I'm all for seeing more customs of this guy :rock

Yeah, unfortunately not really seeing what went on behind the scenes (except for some of the mishaps happening in this thread) I didn't know that you had lost money on this. I think with an organized run a group commission piece can be very beneficial!

I agree, I thought this was a limited run, but you need to recoup losses. Bring on the Dredds!

:goodpost: , nicely put my man ! I love your work Rocco and I'd hate to lose you from the board .( I'm sure that a lot of others would be in agreement ) :)

I'm not leaving the boards, I love sculpting! If a recaster gets his hands on my castings, oh well. As long as I keep selling my castings and people know where to get em the right way, to hell with Recasters. Recasters always put out substandard castings and get bad reviews, lesson learned.
