Ok, so the suit was a heathered black/very dark charcoal.

Honestly that Kingsman set is pretty darn close. I will probably just use it myself rather than spend dozens of hours reinventing the wheel.

Magnoli Clothiers sells this tie:

I can recreate that in Illustrator and get it printed in silk or a silk-like material.

Thanks to Geronimo's suggestion, I already purchased the DID Gangster John. The body shape and suit look great. The spectator shoes are wrong, but it should be easy to find suitable shoes. I really like the Thompson machine gun in a violin case and drum magazine. I purchased the DID Gangster John for $100 over retail, since the boxed figure appears sold out everywhere.

Hey GIJoe1964...I thought that was the best route because you get everything, along with a suit that is perfect. Here are some pics of the figure as he looks currently with the suit. I used an old bogart sculpt that I got on eBay a while back. The sculpt on this thread will be much much better. I also found a black falcon (again a while back) that is not an exact match. You'll see that I have wrapped it up, but I'm looking forward to getting the correct version...

These pics are for reference...

I'll be in for such tie, but about suit-I think Dillinger did is closer look.

Sure, the colour is ever so slightly more accurate, but the Pop Toys set will be probably around $100, whereas the one DiD Chicago John set on eBay is roughly $255.00. That's approaching Yunsil cost.

If someone really wanted to save money and could live with a dark grey with brown rather than silver pin stripes, the Walter Bishop suit from DiD would be a budget option. It's probably the exact same patttern as the Gangster suit.

So, where can we find the Kingsman set? Also, if you need any help on the pattern in Illustrator, let me know..

Thanks!! It's nice, but I'm like you, I'd prefer the DID Gangster.. Just to have all those neat extra bits...

Some news about suit price.Geewhiz offered 210 per set without tie.Just pants, jacket and shirt. Here is only 245$ cheapest Johnny did option.Maybe is better custom made suit?

No thanks, I'm using a Gangster John suit. But I'm in for a custom tie.

Here is the preliminary tie graphic:

If anyone wants to give feedback on the colours, I'll give you the exact RGB codes. Translating what one sees colour-wise on the screen to the cloth is the hardest part.

I've made ties before, so I already have the basic sewing pattern. They'll have a real knot, tied as actual menswear.
