After seeing the PERS on the proto sculpt I feel the opposite. It would have made it the most unique Freddy sculpt to date. Oh well. I'm not going to worry about what I can't change.

Thanks for the look at the movable eye sculpt. It's ridiculously impressive that he's able to pull that off, and equally impressive how the seam is nearly undetectable. I do have to say I like the decision to X it though. He's executing the technology flawlessly, but it's just not doing any justice for the look of the sculpt. Maybe if it was able to be done with smaller eye holes, but the wide cut eye holes detract from the sculpt too much.

Yeah it reminded me of a Hot Toys sculpt, it just looked too toyish as the eyes just looked fake and plastic looking, not to mention too big.

I think getting rid of moveable eyes was a good idea on Beto's part as well.

The smiling sculpt will be for the Chest of Souls release.

Any idea when that will be?

Yeah it reminded me of a Hot Toys sculpt, it just looked too toyish as the eyes just looked fake and plastic looking, not to mention too big.

Well according to Stiff the PERS look great in the proto and he is not a fan of Hot Toys at all. So this is why I'm more disappointed now that he decided not to do it. Again though, I'm still looking forward to the figure. I know it will look great either way.

Well I was the first one that said will he offer one with no PERS like the proto because IMO the head sculpt looks too toyish with it. Everyone was against that idea as everyone liked the PERS idea at the time, so I thought if he did not offer a sculpt without PERS I would consider cancelling my order. Now it seems this thread has done a 180 and everyone (well majority) agrees with Beto that not offering PERS is a good idea, go figure. It is a shame that he can not offer both a non PERs and PERS head sculpt so everyone would be happy, but that is life I guess.

Agreed. I wish he would give the choice but I guess its too much work for him to produce both. Oh well. Lucky Stiff. He has something truly unique and special in his possession.

To be fair, when Beto originally posted the information for the Freddy figure, the moveable eyes were not part of the deal. Even when he showed the first picture of the finished, painted head sculpt the eyes were still. It wasn't until September that he showed the possibility of moveable eyes. Either way, we are all lucky to be getting the figure regardless of moveable eyes, I guess that's the best way to look at it.

Oh Yeah, I wasn't trying to say that he mislead us to pre-order or anything like that. This is not a deal breaker for me at all. Just wanted PERS but it's not a make or break for me.

There is no telling, so far seems to be rolling quick tho. With ash out the way Beto should have more time to work on this.

Yeah, sounds like this PERS idea was a nightmare to implement on Ash, so personally I'm glad it's been scrapped. Means there's a chance now I'll see Jason IV while I'm relatively healthy. :lol

Beto is working on completing all Freddy figures, and has a sculpt in the works for Jason. I'm sure Lu has either begun research on the outfit already and/or started creating a prototype.
