All the phones are wired! Just need to finish wiring the busts, then it's the home stretch of assembly of the busts.

Love it! I’m having an issue with some flickering lights in my house, do you think you can stop by and check it out?

Sorry I've been a little delayed. Has to figure out a final couple details, like how to properly secure the battery holder in place, and make it so you can easily get the battery in and out. Solved!

A few custom made 3D printed parts and a slight notification to the battery holder and we're good to go.

Will be doing something similar for the bust and then we're good for orders!

Ok, folks, I wanted to provide a little update.. unfortunately not a great one, but one that will benefit you all in the end.

After wiring ALL the phones I went ahead and began final testing of the light up feature. Unfortunately it is here where I ran across 2 problems.

Number one, I used two LEDs to light the phone, and they have their own resistors built in to cause the blinking feature. Well, these resistors aren't millisecond-perfect, thus, the longer the phone was turned on, the blinking would eventually become out of sync. Now, it would eventually re-sync, but then of course get out of sync again, in a regular cycle. Now, I don't anticipate anyone leaving these on too long, but I just don't like that it isn't perfectly in sync at all times.

Number two, the LEDs aren't bright enough, plain and simple. I originally painted the phone with ONE coat of red paint, and the LEDs shined through reasonably well. However to get a better surface coverage (in the prototype you can see some areas around the front of the phone where light bleeds through much more) I used two coats on the final phones, which means the light has more to go through and, although it is visible, it is very difficult to see in bright light. Again, I understand these won't be turned on for display the majority of the time but, I just am not satisfied with it.

As a result I have some new LEDs coming in this weekend and I plan on doing some testing. If they are better I will rewire every phone because that's what you guys deserve. Thanks for bearing with me but I want these to be the best they can be.

Andy

Thanks, everyone

With thr exception of one last internal wiring step these guys are done. And i got about a third ig the ones rewired today. Boxes should be arriving this week so I can show off the final packaging as well.
