A friend of mine has shown Interest and is keen on making a run of around 35 Bat Signals 1/6 scale from The Dark Knight. We have narrowed down on 2 Models, one which is more comic-esque and the second which is movie accurate .


1. Current run slated to be at round 30 - 35 Pcs.

2. Delivery time is estimated to be 35-40 days from payment date.

3. Payment Procedure:

Proto 1
$135 + Shipping + Paypal Fees (Upfront): $198.20 (For US)
$30 on Completion (Due before shipping to the destination)

Proto 2
$135 + Shipping + Paypal Fees (Upfront): $208.20 (For US)
$40 on Completion (Due before shipping to the destination)

$40 on Completion (Due before shipping to the destination)

4. Shipping Price Breakdown:

USA: $55 (Proto 1) and $65 (Proto 2)
Canada: $65 (Proto 1) and $75 (Proto 2)

Prototype 1 (Weathered)

There are a couple of variants available:


1. The variant above is based on the Mattel TDKR Batsignal which was showcased at Toy Fair 2012 https://geek-news.mtv.com/2012/02/13/mattel-bane-dark-knight-rises-movie-figure/ (You never know Mattel is bound to have some Insider details. Maybe it's patterened a little different from the previous movies as TDKR is yet to release.)


2. There is also an option to have the Movie Accurate Version (See post #2)


3. Both the variants can be made to accomodate a more 'Realistic' look with the addition of the Weathering effect as it adds character to the piece; mainly because the Bat Signal is on the roof of a building and not in a Museum.

(IMO it does make sense for the Bat Signal to have signs of rust and weathering rather than it being spanking new inspite of it being on a roof top.)


4. In case someone is keen on having a Clean Variant of either of the Prototypes that can be arranged too. It's totally upto the person buying it.

Prototype 2 (Clean) - WIP Pics

The Batsymbol will be indented to have a longer wingspan and lesser breadth keeping in line with the movie. Weathering will be added too. Just wanted to give out a gimpse of a clear variant for Reinhardt and anyone else who wanted to choose between the two. As for everything else, it seems perfect.

Brilliant effort made by the team working on this.

True I wasn't quite keen on the Metal look (it's actually a cast and not metal) of the base myself. That was his take after keeping the Mattel one as a reference. Most prolly we would be going with a cement base as I'm expecting a lot of people to diss that part of the Batsignal.

Hmmm its a decent first effort but there are quite a number of inaccuracies as it stands

First off I would suggest not to use a Mattel toy model as the reference, use pics of the real thing.

Of course we don't know whether the TDKR batsignal will be the exact same as the one we saw in TDK, but from the Mattel toy it looks pretty much the same.

Well tbh, the Mattel one was used as a ref. cause mod6 and Woody Inc. both did the movie version. The Mattel one came out at the Toy Fair and though it has a fair share of similarities we thought we could give a hand it and see how it comes off as.

I prefer the TDK one myself, like I mentioned earlier an so we're in the process of having the cement square base.

The only thing this model lacks from the one we've seen previously, is that the base doesn't swivel.

Edit: It Swivels now. Check the video in Post #3.

However,

A. I feel it has the weathering has made the overall look pretty sick.
B. It's made to scale with a 1:6 figure. Not off at all.
C. Has a over 40 LEDs housed in it.

Like I said earlier, we are in the process of improving it from where it stands, please feel free to point out areas of improvement. :wave

^ Yup. We're trying to see if we can get the skeleton holding the Batsignal to be more movie accurate not very clear if we can incorporate the swivel though.

We're reworking the bottom part. Anything in particular that you would want to have on the batsignal?

That looks aswome. But 45 shipping?

It's shipping in from South East Asia, thus the shipping costs.

Is this gonna plugged in a wall outlet or is this battery powered?

It's connected to a 12V adapter . There isn't an option for it to run on batteries atm.


Also I'm thinking out loud since there's no mention of it yet,

Is everyone cool with the idea of having the Batsignal weathered or is a clean version preferable?
