Will the new dx12 fit inside this? I know it's a bit taller than the dx02.

Don't worry.

dx12 will fit well.
As the shown pics i use dx02 with extra base to lift the figure up almost 1 cm. And for anyone who has only dx02 you will get an extra base for free.
Just inform me in payment email.
