Re: The angry sith ( angry darth maul head). By Jim.M

The link is in lt0778's opening post. But I'll save you time having to scroll up and read it! Jim.M's portfolio.

And here's a brief history from his home page:

His work looks amazing. Wish I was interested in the PT stuff or Maul, in particular. Best of luck, lt! Cool of you to organize this.
Thanks bro I hope he nails this and knocks it out the park then he'll be a very bust man but his Star Trek stuff is pretty awesome as well.

Jim has already started on the sculpt this is the first rendering of maul let me know what u think I think it looks pretty good so far!!!!!

Re: The angry maul sith, by Jim m 1st wip pics pg1 @pg 3

Looks great so far... something odd about the space between his upper lip and nose and I thin the horns are maybe a bit too large at the base, but the height and look is very good. Cool choice for an expression and I can see Ray Park in there, especially in the profile.

Very interested to see how it progresses.

I know I think it looks good for the early stages.

I made a couple of changes to my post... to clarify. But yeah, if this is "early" we're in great shape :rock :rock

Looking good. May be interested but a lot going on.

Re: The angry maul sith, by Jim m 1st wip pics pg1 @ pg4

Head, ears, and horn look great. There's something not quite right about the mouth and teeth to me. It seems like his snarl should be a little more angled like a V shape if his mouth is that wide open. Otherwise it should be more like this:

Re: The angry maul sith, by Jim m 1st wip pics pg1 @ pg4

This is a very early wip. I'm working on proportion and asymmetrical features. The teeth and mouth are way off at the moment as are the horns.
I haven't begun to model the muscle, fat or bone under the skin yet.
If anyone has good reference not available online please feel free to share it.
Thanks for looking

Great work so far, it already looks very promising. Also good to hear you have yet to put it so much detail, which means this will probably look absolutely amazing once it's done.
For full accuracy, don't forget to sculpt the stud piercing in his top left ear. :)

Perhaps this reference picture of Ray Park sans make up might be handy to help some with details, like his eyebrows when frowning.

Depending on when funds are needed, I would be up for two heads instead of one.
