As far as I'm concerned it's now worth $2200.

If this were an auction that would have been the closing market value on this. So the worst thing you can do is break even if you decided to sell this. But most of us are holding on to these so congrats and it's really worth every penny you spent on it. Sometimes you gotta say F$$k it!

I wouldn't say the figure is worth 2200 again. I was the only person throwing around money and asking for it. I have my first child on the way, and really wanted this figure. I knew once the kid was born (three months time) I wasn't going to be able to get to these boards to often, so I tried to lock one down. Even gave up another Beto figure to help pay for this. Even threw Rainman Bill Full set out there for trade bait with cash added to beto figure for Bill offer. Now the next one that sells will determine the true value.

Well, im displeased with how all of this transpired. Gonna make it my personal mission to get this figure made in the tuxedo variant by someone else. Sorry if it steps on toes but Beto doesnt seem to care what the masses think.

Ive got a decent track record for getting these projects done.

Yeah, I wanted Beetlejuice more, way more. Love the Bill, but the movie wasn't one of my tops. Thought many times to let it go and cash out.

Similarly, I'm a much bigger fan of Beetlejuice as a character than Bill. But damn if that Bill isn't a fine figure. Possibly the best I've ever seen in hand as a complete package.

Thing is noone is likely to ask any less than 2200 now they've seen one go for that much.

I'm not so sure. If someone needs to sell, they'll find out what the market is like. Very possible there are others around here willing to spend that kind of scratch on Beetlejuice. Also possible there aren't. Who knows? This wasn't an auction with more than one person bidding, so I would take that price with a grain of salt.

I don't really see what you have to be displeased about. 2nd run list was never a guarantee you where getting a figure. Beto has always operated on a first come first served basis if you werent on last night when this went live then thats on you not Beto.

If you decide to get a run going for a tuxedo version I'm sure there will be loads of people myself included interested in seeing that progress.

There was no warning before the 1st run happened. Out of all days I volunteered to work the night shift and what amazing timing that was. The very day Beto decides to come out of nowhere and say he is putting Beetlejuice up for sale.

If I would not have volunteered for the night shift I would have missed this too :gah:

I was waiting a year for this and actually gave up, because I felt there was no way in hell I would get my hands on one.

Re: Jason, as great as that figure is, there are lots of other Jason options on the market. There is only one high end Beetlejuice. The Beto brand and quality (that I hear of) are surely factors affecting value, but with Jason I can't imagine he's gonna be as popular as Beetlejuice in the long run.

I say what I mean & I mean what I say broski :wink1:. I've been thrown some serious offers thus far for some of my pieces and till now the answer has always been.... thanks but no thanks.

I guess partly because I'm very selective on the customs that I drop big money on. I've never had an impulse buy on a high end custom to date and I only grab the pieces that I really want. Whatever profit I can make on them isn't greater to me than owning the piece. One day that money will be gone and so will the piece so it's not worth it :dunno

Fair enough, Beto never gives warning so you shouldn't have expected him to this time but you still have the right to be displeased. If you want one get your wallet out and make some offers you never know your luck.
