Re: The SHO-NUFF! Project - Custom 1/6 Art Figure {OUTFIT PREVIEW/DEPOSITS NEEDED}

I was chillin' with Mags today and I got to see the MJ body. Just seeing how perfect that body is has me so pumped for this! :panic:

This piece is going to have so much presence; the definition of shelf popper right here. Can't wait to see that cape!!

I'd say the Storm Toys Jordan body might be slightly better (no rubber overlay, even paint), but it's not as easily available I guess.

Oh wow, I never even heard of Storm Toys. Jordan. Pippen, Rodman; very cool. Those bodies do look phenomenal but I doubt that anyone could even find one loose on the market, never mind 10-15. Those full sets are going for $450+ on The Bay

The jury is still out on those, but at the time of our research the EB ones were the best available and we were fortunate to be able to secure 10 and then later the other 5.

Shoot if the Storm Toys body is better I'd say do the body swap and take pictures. If its a great improvement I'll be right behind you doing a body swap of my own.

Re: The SHO-NUFF! Project - Custom 1/6 Art Figure {OUTFIT PREVIEW/DEPOSITS NEEDED}

Those look like great bodies with awesome detail but right now I'm still feeling that the EB is a better fit. The ST chest may be a little more detailed and realistic but the arms are jacked and shredded. That's a way more athletic build than Julius Carry was sporting and the EB arms are a more suiting in that way. Also the plasticy mid-section will be fully covered by the belt (Yunsil didn't futz it to perfection).

If I can score a couple of those ST bodies I would anyway just to have in the bin. They can definitely be used for something eventually

Very nice points. I have much to learn :lol

Michael Jordan was around $315US, with an edition size of 250 I think. You know how eBay is :lol Very nice quality body. But yeah, maybe a bit difficult & pricey to get 15 of them.

The EB body is the more accessible choice anyway, & a very suitable choice.

A body swap was something I was thinking about since I have the Storm Toys figure. Even though I'm not on the list, I think about this figure quite a bit :lol

Re: The SHO-NUFF! Project - Custom 1/6 Art Figure {OUTFIT PREVIEW/DEPOSITS NEEDED}

Yea, I figured those were secondary market prices. So $315 was the original retail price, huh? Expensive for a small brand offering but those figs look pretty good so well worth it. Rodman looks like the best of the batch IMO

Re: The SHO-NUFF! Project - Custom 1/6 Art Figure {OUTFIT PREVIEW/DEPOSITS NEEDED}

Yeah, the Storm Toys Jordan was pretty pricey from the get go. Big step up in price from their Tyson offering, but I'm happy I purchased it. I think Rodman will look the best of the 3 as well. Since I think it's not a basketball figure, but a Rodman "celebrity" figure, I think with his wacky fashion style, he'd make for an interesting display piece.

But Sho Nuff is where it's at. Now, when I say, "Who's the master?" you say .....
