I think it would be easier if you have the completed entire set displayed so everyone can not only read but see exactly what set it what.

Basically I agree with you of course. (y)

You can see most details on all the pictures in the first post but of course there will be a full picture. It will be easier (also for me) to show it all together. (y) I will do that shortly, waiting for Elliott's Toribox outfit. :) It was scheduled for January but it will still take a bit of time.

My project started in 2019 and it was possible to join since 2020, for those who wanted to make sure not to miss it. A free decision based on the details that were shown by then and the artist line-up, but I also understand everyone who wants to wait to see the full picture before.

Thanks to the early supporters, most parts are no longer prototypes but series parts. Most of Elliott's headsculpts and all bodies are completed, all BMX parts and most accessory parts are completed, two full BMXs are close to completion, the E.T. parts are next as well as the Elliott outfits. I am also working on the bases and the boxes. Painting is still a bottleneck but I want to make sure that the wait will not be very long after the full reveal, while I won't rush the final steps by no means.

The outfit shown in the photos is not from Toribox? What timeframe of completion would you be looking at for someone fully paid?

Noo, that was just a preliminary outfit I put together (marked it on the pictures) for tests (the shoes are final though). Toribox' outfit will be far far better than that.

The current planning is 3 months from now for those who joined first but it will depend on the delivery of the outfits. Definitely want to complete the whole project this summer.

A while ago I decided to discard using brass for miniature frames and to go for a material that suits the purpose a lot better. This video quickly shows why:

great idea

I think the molding also gives more detail - like sharper

Thank you! Yes, absolutely:

The sculpted miniature welding lines came out perfectly.

Casting such filigree frames in resin is incredibly challenging and only one of four casters I worked with got it done on this level after many trials. These became the most expensive castings I ever ordered for a project.

Imo brass is not only to soft / unflexible for frame parts, usually the casting process and the required polishing also take away a lot of details.

There is a lot of energy and attention focused against the other E.T. Project instead of real updates. I suggest focusing on your project and giving concrete updates to those who paid you instead of posts like these. You also have other long overdue projects with missed deadlines where updates are owed and I suggest focusing on those.

Jra81984, you know I focus a lot of energy and attention on actual accuracy and technical characteristics and I improve along the way. This is what I always did in my projects and it has always been the main reason why they often take so long. I always prove such things in updates and do not just claim something.

Now that in this case another project started after mine - and of course collectors can compare - my efforts are “against” the other project? No.

Following your comments you want to like the other project and / or the person running it, free choice. But it is important to distinguish between updates / improvements for collectors and something “against” another project.

What does the fact that I discarded my brass frame parts and went for an alternative that I found much better have to do with the other project? Nothing, I would have done that and I would have shared the difference also if there was no other project, especially since it is a significant change and improvement.

I posted a lot of updates in this project, feel free to check the previous page or the first post. All collectors involved are well informed about the progress. Not only here. Currently we are still eagerly looking forward for the Toribox outfits.

Yes, though I think all 4 currently delayed accessory projects are updated atm, I am also focusing on these in the same way as on all projects I completed before, since 2012.

@ all: Another update, more shortly:

The flood of post-it's on the E.T. project wall is clearing up so the time to share this was right.

When I say E.T. project wall I am actually talking about my living room ?, papered with a ton of notes and many of the references and inspirations that I have researched and prepared over the past 2 years.

It does not show the several hundred screenshots and my descriptions that were also included in this project.
